Of course.
And let's keep to Michael.
It's got more authority about it than Mick.
He reminds me of some actor dude.. but can't quite place ...

scoring 4 away from home in the league, in his first game in charge, it has to be a 10.
I wonder how much input Shawcross and Allen had in the team selection ? he had a meeting with them a few days ago, i wonder if this was essentially their team selection ?

* 10 out of 10 for me. Tactics spot on, players look motivated and played in the right positions

Sorry Sal I just couldn't wait for you to start the thread. * if you were there. 100 from me played players in the correct position, a system they can understand and kept attacking all match. Scored 4 for the first time this century and won at Barnsley for the first time since the 80s. Get the fuck in! Gouranga. Cheers Albs So how does another 100 sound??

He has to rely on his most senior players just 48 hours after being appointed. 1 or 2 training sessions show fuck all.

He's been linked with the job before so its possible he has kept an eye on us, but its likely ryan and joe filled him in on where they think jones was going wrong IE consistently playing players out of position.

Round pegs in round holes. Still can’t believe Butland gets the nod over Feds .....should have done more for their 2nd very slow and hesitant off his line imo and gave Schmidt too much to aim at. 10 just. Done more?? The striker had absolute acres of space. To even contemplate blaming Jack for that 2nd is madness. Take a look at Ba’ath and indi if you want blame someone

10. God did we need that. Huge improvements are needed still. Two very sloppy goals conceded and the strike force we have are simply appalling. But it’s something to build on now

A very solid 9.5 for me.
He needs to get that defence sorted and a hard word in Butland’s ear because those goals he let in were basic errors from the defence but the second goal for Barnsley was shocking. He was rooted to the spot and it’s as if his brain won’t tell him to get on the floor and push it out for a corner. His head isn’t in the right place. I would have kept Federico in between the sticks. Still, a positive benchmark to start from to propel this team up the league steadily.

Had to win today no matter what. Loved the fact he did not want to sit on the sidelines and watch and got stuck in and chose the team.
Not only did we win but put in a confidence-boosting performance with it.
So many things right with his selection and the balance of the team and a few things not so. But for a first game after only a couple days at the club it has to be 5,000 out of 10 for me.
Please, Please may it continue and will the injuries to key players please also feck-off

The striker had absolute acres of space. To even contemplate blaming Jack for that 2nd is madness. Take a look at Ba’ath and indi if you want blame someone I’m not blaming him just saying that he was slow off his line. If you understand the mathematics of a keeper "narrowing the angle" then you will understand that the closer the keeper is to an on-rushing striker the less he has to aim at. If Butland had closed him down then he may have pushed his shot wide of the goal. Instead, as you say, Schmidt had acres of space to aim at.

I'll give him 10, the players with defensive duties, not just the defence, about 3. Needs to sort them out or this will be another false dawn.
