Can honestly see them doing us 3/4 - 0. West Brom didn't have to get out of first gear, just a regulation victory for them without the need to stretch themselves. These lot however will be well up for it, and we will crumble if we go behind. They will also see it as a chance to better the goal difference, and they won't take mercy.
The two goals that they scored against the Albion were first rate.
Barnsley were time wasting after 10 minutes, frustrated the WBA attacks and took their two first half opportunities. If the header that hit the bar early in he second half had gone in, they could have taken all three points.
I sincerely hope we can get someone in soon because I was not impressed with the covering trio against WBA. They were clearly out of their depth. I have commented on the number of players we have signed that are clearly not good enough to get us out of the trouble we are in. Getting down to basics should be the name of the game with a solid 4-4-2. The problem we face is that we are having to select players that we have little faith in especially in a back four. My team assuming they are fit:- Butland Carter-Vickers, Batth Indi Ward Allen Etebo NDiaye Clucas Hogan Gregory
Midfield is the biggest issue for me re creativity where he can choose from......
Woods Clucas McLean Ince Powell Allen Badou Etebo Cousins lol
What system and which two/three?
Powell re the only number 10? Something has to give? I prefer Badou and Etebo with Powell to give creativity if fit? But clearly there are so many options and you can see why morale is low if left out?
Ashamed to say that, due to lack of money and conflicting commitments, Barnsley is going to be my first game this season
Thoroughly looking forward to the gallows humour guaranteed from both sets of supporters to be fair
No need to be ashamed, I haven't been a match for 2 years, similar reasons to you. This game is big for us and I couldn't miss it, used birthday money to pay for it. Really miss my football too, I'm like a kid in a sweet shop, I'm super excited for tomorrow.
