A 30,000 mausoleum, an echo of times gone by, regret of arrogant throw away comments, like Mills out on the wall of the Vic, he will take “what’s all the fuss about to his grave”. For all his money, for all his success in business, for the 10 years of the good life, he will be remembered for this oversight of a catastrophic collapse, for 4 years of decline, for producing the pound for pound worst football team I can remember. A shambles of a football club on a par with Sunderland and all the other falls from grace that have gone before. When a club has gone beyond anger into complete apathy it’s a long long way back. A disgrace.

They really have got away with it for the last 3 seasons without a doubt! Scholes is Teflon but so is the rest of the board.. To thick skinned or " thick" to even realise the true state and mess we are in and they have allowed to happen with little or no intervention. Clearly Denise has the brains behind 365 , as this pair certainly haven't!

3 relegations to the third tier.
They mean well, but they are absolutely shit at running a football club.

We were promoted from the Championship, had 9 years in the Premier League, reached an FA Cup Final and played in Europe.
And it's not looking good, but this season isn't quite over yet. The lockdown doesn't seem to have done us any favours at all.

The financial fair play rule was our downfall. Obviously if they wanted to the could slam 500 million into the club, but it’s against the rules. We probably have to drop to league one to start again or maybe that’s where we belong!

To many commentators are now calling out the wastrels we have at the club who couldn’t give two shits about the club or the supporters. Top to bottom the club is rancid now. I don't know what the answer is but what a mess. The team that went down in 1984 had more balls and fight in them than this shower of shite.

When we were playing the football we were playing at the height of BMX, if someone would have said that out next 3 managers would be Paul Lambert, Gary Rowett and Nathan Jones then you would have known that the shit had well and truly hit the fan. Great family, spunked a load of coin but just can't pick a manager and don't really seem to have a strategy.

And the football world used to say what a well run club we were in the premiership....erm they got that one wrong!
Maybe it shows pulis did an extraordinary job despite the inept workings of our board and owners.
What's all the fuss about. Eh peter.

Great memories but no legacy Mr Coates. Bloody is for me. All those years in the prem, which I never thought I would ever see even one season, fa cup final, europe, signing names like shakiri, crouch etc for the fees that we paid. Don't think Peter ever wanted get rid of TP, but crowd pressure pushed him. I'll always be grateful for the the vast majority of the last decade or so.

Burnt almost to the ground.
His loyalty to people completely undeserving of it has cost him, and the club so so dearly. The board’s refusal to change anything has resulted in exactly that. No change.
It’s nothing to do with Pulis either, this club was put on this trajectory when they let Hughes carry on in 2017. It could have been so different.

I still to this day can't workout how we have had one left back in 7 years and it's been over 12 months since he last played for us.
How can you not have a fucking left back.

Taking us to the 3rd tier on 3 separate occasions will override all the good years in the prem
I don't want them gone but they need smarten up and bring some proper people in to run the club

The coates need to take a long hard look at themselves they are shit at running a football club & perhaps its time to sell up. Look just down the road at Wolves who would have believed that within 3 years the tables would be turned upside down they are now pushing for a top 4 place from being in league 1. The coates family have wasted a fantastic opportunity they have dithered on sacking managers & then done the deed at completely the wrong time & not once either. Were we go from here nobody knows but i fear it could get even worse if they stay in control.

Doesn’t seem to have affected other teams around us though has it , or are the rules different for them ?seems to me that our players thought the season was over .

Unfortunately we having being going backwards since the defeat to Liverpool in the semi-final.
Peter and Jon Coates along with Tony Scholes have caused the spectacular demise of a football club whilst spending millions in the process. I bet Denise is absolutely delighted.
They've displayed incompetence and mismanagement of epic proportions.
I only wished we had reached rock bottom. There's a way to go yet. A plethora of wankers sitting on long contracts that no one wants will strangle this club for years to come. Absolutely heartbreaking.

A legacy is something you leave behind, not a ten year blip in a sea of shit.
3 relegations to the third tier alone is more than the total number of promotions.
Just think about that for a minute.

No other business would continue to chuck money at a CEO who has presided over four years of collapse. Scholes is the common link between the failure of Hughes, Lambert, Rowett, Jones and probably O'Neill. Time to try changing something other than the manager, get in some leadership and expertise.
