I tend to agree northy. Another loser for Tsylor today. Favourite again. Got a small ew bet on his other pick later. He must come good soon. The last time I tried following him, he went a week and a half without a decent priced winner! Update. Another loser. Finished last. Must come good soon!

Just spotted an interesting one. 23rd October 8.10 Kempton Park - Roaring Rory
I've followed him on & off ever since I bought a stake in him for a year for Mrs Q's birthday one year.
He gave us decent returns & was always a 100%, eyeballs-out, trier which we liked.
I'm sure he's never been further south than Wolverhampton before so that's caught my eye. I'd say he's carrying 3-4lb too much to win but I'll ponder an e/w shot on him.

I'll have a couple of quid each way, if it wins me money I think I can safely say it'll be the first time a tip off here has, and I've bet on a few!

If you can ever watch Irish racing, just note the skills of Rachel Blakemore. Never seems to be badly positioned in a race and always gets the best out of a horse. Another name to note for the future is Katie O Farrell who at the moment is claiming a very useful 5 lbs.

Patrick looks handily weighted for the win, but I never back anything shorter than 4/1. Penarth Pier on a weight penalty for her win last time out & I can't see her getting up from the pack carrying that. Rest of the bunch look like a typical G6 field.
Roaring Rory 8/1 with Billy Hills. Just my sort of e/w odds so a couple of quid going on him from me as he's got as good a place chance as any.
Penarth Pier to win by 4 lengths, going away & Rory to fall asleep in the stalls then .....

A creditable run by Rory but carrying too much weight to get up into the frame in the end. Definitely looking ready to win when he can get a few pounds off.
Of course it was won by a 22/1 donkey. Typical G6 madness.

Luckily for me I forgot all about it Update is appreciated tho, be interested if it runs again, going that D Road thing distracted me, I can seemingly only cope with one thing at a time

Hugh Taylor had a 4-1 winner in the week, which I had a couple of quid on. Otherwise been a poor week's tips for him. Done two today, one e/w and t'other win. Doncaster could be off tomorrow due to the rain. Inspection at 7-30 a.m. Jane Elliott, Tom Dascombe's jockey rode a cracking race on the outsider of four today, and loses her 3lb claim. Dascombe's is going to try and get the owners' to give her a chance, now she has lost her claim, as it becomes harder! He's takin the p-ss with these now. Last and pulled up. Unbelievable Jeff! That Marquand has ridden two stinker's as well. I new I'd go down , when him and Atzeni had a winner each before riding my two! Three moe losers'today (sat). Despondency is setting in. Some bastard woman in a Saab this morning cut me up as well. If I could have got to her, she would have got a severe bollocking!

Over the years, I've corresponded with The Drunken Communist about horse racing in general, and our Melbourne Cup in particular (I remember telling him just how good Black Caviar was )
However, we didn't talk before last year's race, so I have no idea what he thought of Cross Counter's chances; I can't give him a chance this year, by the way
This year, I'm interested in a nag called Raymond Tusk
He's been backed from 25/1 into 16/1 after he secured his place in the field without having a run over here.
I'm not concerned about him going into the race first up, because I gather he can manage that easily. I'm more concerned that the 'experts' over here, whilst keeping him safe in the market, are 'poo-pooing' the Ebor form. The Ebor has not been a particularly good guide to the Melbourne Cup in the past, but I understand he was the unlucky runner in that race this year
I don't want dog's abuse; I'd just like honest opinions.
I look forward to any responses

Can anyone give me a decent tip for tomorrow's racing. Sick of backing bloody losers. Since I started following Taylor, he's had two 4/1 shots, and two even money favourites. Those were prices I got at the bookies, as I don't want to open an online account. Didn't bet the evens money ones, as they're a waste of time for what I put on. Help!

I look forward to any responses Bloody hell mate I've only just noticed this post! To answer your questions (Bit late now I realise!) I backed Cross Counter last year but like you gave him no chance this year. I was on for the hat-trick as I'd backed Rekindling the year before aswell & I really thought it was going to be Frankie's year atlast, got him (Master Of Reality) at 25/1 only to see him get nabbed on the line & finish second! (I seem to have a thing with Melbourne Cup long shots & finishing second, I'm sure you remember the year I'd convinced half the Oatcake to back Red Cadeaux at 50/1 only for him to lose in a photo finish!) For what it's worth I didn't give Raymond Tusk a chance in hell of winning it, although again I realise it's a bit late to be saying that now!

They would be living it up not writing shit in newspapers or on line convicing people about there own personal fancies any body could do that

Nice winner robo. I'm having a horrible run of seconds at decent prices, it's pissing me off. Backed Belami des pictons at 20's and Guitar Pete 16's in the big race on saturday if it goes ahead.

1:25 - Southwell - Very first time. 15 lengths behind 3 out and flew home to finish 3 lengths off the winner. Steps up in trip and should win.
Also heard good things about, Us And Them, for Joseph O'Brien in the BetVictor gold cup at Cheltenham on Saturday (if it goes ahead)

Never mind how late your message is - it's great to hear from you As it turns out, I didn't back Raymond Tusk, as I had a REAL strong tip on Cup morning for Prince of Arran from a bloke who gets some very good information from time to time. Well, we know the result, don't we? The extra 90 kilograms (carrying ME!!) did the trick!! I hope the punt is being kind to you - best of luck!!
