Needs to be up front alongside another of our strikers - take your pick, it won't matter much who it is.

McClean on this one, so it was clearly him hiding behind Lindsay on the other pic
No sign of Woods, Etebo, Ndiaye, CCV, Edwards though

I don't think the 2 new signings front left look up to the physicality of this league but they can't be any worse than the rest 😜

Have we got another manager who is wedded to a particular formation, without considering if it actually suits the squad we have? Or is that too harsh? What formation would suit our squad? O'Neil has inherited a squad built by 4 different managers with 4 different formations/playing styles in mind at a time when the club has to sell it's better players from under his nose - any manager is going to struggle getting a formation to work in those circumstances. So yes - way too harsh. Why does everything have to be the manager's fault? It's the situation that's the problem not any one individual.

Most effective forward player we have. Presses well, movement not bad, holds it up and brings others in well, missed some decent chances but gets in the positions

Setup the goal with a good run into the channel and ball across 6yd box.
He was integral in that move where we should've had a peno too.
He has to play every week.

Thought he was ok tonight. Apart from giving away a foul every time he went near an opposition player and apart from never, ever looking like he'd have a shot at goal let alone score, I'd agree with you. Compared to sam vokes hes Ronaldo esq.

We just don't play to his strengths one bit. He's a poor man's Walter's who thrives in the channels.
Once we did that last night and we got a goal from it.

He's a limited footballer yes, but he's being managed by a limited manager sadly.

Hes rubbish and he was rubbish last night as well. Pretty much only thing he did right was set up play for the goal.

As it is, he has to start over Vokes. An appalling cameo from the Christmas Pudding again last night. Whoever sanctioned the signing of Vokes for that money should be sectioned.

That's the only thing he did because it's the only time we played to his strengths. Throwing cross after cross to him against three will never work. Whacking long balls to his neck against the same three also will have no effect. I'm under no illusions as to how limited he is, but making a limited player even more limited is rank poor management.

They whack it because they are incapable of playing football. Allen and clucas try to play on the floor but there is zero movement ahead of them. Lindsay, batth, smith, ward and cousins ho long because they cant play anything other under pressure. I doubt very much o'Neil is asking them to lump the ball aimlessly forward at every opportunity.

Surprising - but can well imagine that he's on a VERY hefty contract.
He lives in Sheffield too, doesn't he? So he'll be keen for that to happen if there is interest
Wonder how much we'd accept from Wednesday. If we want to shift his wages to give us some leeway, would imagine it'd be very nominal.

He's a good squad player but not if his wages are huge.
Shame, I quite like him. Seems an honest, almost too honest grafter. Would be interesting to see who we replace him with.

With his length of contract, I would let him go. At his age it's to long.

He’s fucking toss. Some of those balls Campbell put in from the left were terrific and he’s absolutely nowhere near them. Sprinting at full pelt to chase the keeper down from 25 yards away sums him up.
