Lee Gregory reminded me of Jimmy Greenhoff today. Totally unselfish and only concerned with the outcome for the team. He played superbly, playing others in all the time. Different role to the great man maybe but he is some player in his own right. MOTM contender today I reckon.

Definitely MoM for me today as well. Nice to see a stoke striker winning headers against defenders 👍🏻

Gregory the only success story from the summer transfer business?
Maybe Hogan and CCV but they are only on loan
'Twas a bad one
Fair play to Gregs though

His control of the ball and the amount of headers he won yesterday was fantastic, absolutely brilliant performance, well done.

He's actually deceptively quick.. not rapid but surprisingly faster than when you first see him.

I knew from the moment I first saw him live at Tranmere he would be a good signing for us and a real crowd favourite. He's more than graft, he's a really clever footballer and you can tell he has had to sweat for a few things in the past.
That ball to Hogan he's done twice now and it's so much of what we've been missing over the last few years.

His finishing could be better, but his link up play and vision are excellent and are suggestive of a lower league Teddy Sheringham type player.

Pass of the game for Hogan, I didn't think he'd spotted him. A better version of the goal against Derby.

He won more aerial duels than everyone else on the pitch combined on Saturday. Herculean display.

Hes a good player but should be scoring more goals He will get them. Problem is that we have this mental manager - he is nuts, no doubts about it. We are going down. Nutty Nat will kill us.

Hes a good player but should be scoring more goals As long as he plays in a front two he will contribute both goals & assists, I see him being a really valuable part of the team.

I don't envisage that he'll be truly prolific for us,I don't think he's that kind of striker. His hold-up and link play play will be invaluable though,if he can sustain it. Defends from the front like a trojan. Pulling out wide to play Hogan in a là Satdee, dropping slightly deep to feed others in,winning the high ball to then lay it off or simply flicking it on for TC,these are the things he can do really well.I've seen glimpses that Allen and Etebo may really benefit from him being in the side if hey can time their runs beyond him, imho.

Personally see Gregory as a new Walters/Sidibe role. Works his bollocks off, chases everything, scores a couple himself but takes the burden off his strike partner. Campbell/Hogan perfect to play alongside him, they can concentrate on getting in behind, Gregory can do the dirty work
I like him, exactly what we've been lacking, work rate and an understanding of his role

Missed as many gilt edge chances as Butland has made goalkeeping errors in fairness.....

Even with the misses, hes still imperative for us.
We need him in the team more than Campbell.

Can't hit a barn door, completely opposite to Hogan who looks to be an instinctive finisher,if only he got more chances
