Can someone tell me what happened with this guy? He seemed to be in the running for game time a couple of seasons ago, had an alright record at Walsall, admittedly did less for Grasshopper but in a harder league. Now he is finally back with the U23s and scoring again on a regular basis. Young and technically sound, will he ever be playing for us?

Talented, good dribbler, good finisher and quick. However lazy arse who hasn't grown up by all accounts. Frustrating but there you are. Still time for him to get with the program but don't see it happening myself.

He's contributing and scoring. If he's been tagged with 'lazy' and he's still outperforming his peers it reflects poorly on that part of the club, whether they are right in their assessment or not.

He's not made it in any way, shape or form. It's a shame because a player with his qualities would give us an option up top. If he doesn't feature in some way this season one would assume he never will.

It's a shame because a player with his qualities would give us an option up top. If he doesn't feature in some way this season one would assume he never will. The ego comes from securing a contract on stupid money, relatively speaking, for a kid at Stoke City who was nowhere near the first team. It's a few years ago now but around the time of his debut v WBA, he wasn't well liked at all amongst senior professionals because of his general contempt for anything resembling hard work. It is quite telling, that of all the youngsters with a social media presence, N'goy is the only one who Charlie Adam hasn't openly engaged with and encouraged. Hopefully he has matured somewhat over the last few years and will realise he is rapidly approaching last chance saloon in some respects. He did OK, but only OK on loan at Walsall, his last loan move resulted in him coming back here and there were seemingly no suitors for him in the Summer. Clearly talented but talent without the desire won't get him very far.

He’s better than Campbell. Should be in the squad. He isn't in the squad because of a lack of ability. Having talented but lazy aresholes doesn't work See Jesse,Imbula,Choupo Moteng as examples.

I see this lad played again last night for the U23's.
With an apparent clean slate for the squad since MON's arrival, any chance of him getting an opportunity in the wide areas, do we think?

Hmm reminded me of dog with a balloon in that when he had the balloon he couldn’t control it, he was a total cock by all accounts and made his thoughts well known he was off shortly after we had been relegated against Palace was it?? Anyway he was in the pub telling anyone who could be arsed to listen to him shortly after that game

How can he be such a fucking idiot? We do seem to attract them. If he knows that he has no chance of 1st team action (and it seems that is the case for all the academy players) you can see that would be demoralising.

Ritchie may have had an "attitude" but he grafted on the pitch and was most definitely a team player.

Ritchie may have had an "attitude" but he grafted on the pitch and was most definitely a team player. Because he was allowed to develop. Not saying N'goy will ever become "a Richtie", but he is being held back by never getting opportunities. Even under Hughes he was only allowed mere cameos.
