Remember having dealings directly with him (thanks to tel2u) when we got promoted to the championship after my family were injured when our fans went mental at Ince in the corner. Absolute snake oil salesman, made a thousand promises and assurances then vanished of the face of the earth and left it to some poor underling to inform us he wasn’t going through with any of his promises. That spineless he’d make a good politician A very similar experience many years ago led to distrust and disliking the guy from that point on. The key issue that people have not mentioned is Scholes‘ failure to significantly improve our revenue (less tv money) during our time in the premier league. I’m not talking about ticket income as they were held static but the additionals including sponsorship, marketing ROI, sales (especially exploiting new markets) and opportunities that could have seen a significant increase in income/supporter baseline during competitions such as the Asian Cup and Europa league... that is indicative of poor strategic planning and a lack of understanding of future ,funnel‘ opportunities... and he should be fired for that alone.

Hard, gritty, brutally honest and full of role models for any young player in attitude. That should’ve resonated with many around the world. Add on Our media department is a joke, (from what I see/hear even the streams are god awful) and the way everything seems to be handled is appalling compared to other similar teams.

The fact is he did try to pick the first team at Preston away last year. Do you have any proof to back that claim up? Stop asking pertinent questions. This is the Oatcake dontchkno ! GD

Fucking know nowt, Tin Pot Fifa playing wankers on here do my nut in. They have absolutely no clue whatsoever at what goes on in running a football club. None. This board is their sole source of ‘information’ god help them. This guy is just a fall guy for their ignorance. He is like the victim of a knuckle dragging 19th Century Lynch Mob. This is the same guy who was in charge during the most successful period in recent times. The guy in charge during the signings of Criuch, Bojan, Shaqiri, Arnie. He can’t be held fully responsible for that period of success and can’t be held responsible for this period of shite. Get off the mob mentality and think for yourselves for a while. Brainwashed idiotic morons. I think you'll find he can be held responsible for this decline. Hes the one who not only counts the beans, but decides he handles transfer negotiations. He allowed Rowett, along with the board, to spend nearly £50 Million on shit to get back up. He didn't intervene on employing Paul fucking Lambert. He haggled over a pathetic £1 Million which meant Quique stayed at Espanyol. He decided to purposely fuck over Tony Pulis when asked to try for Tom Ince and Matty Phillips. We got Brek fucking Shea instead. He saw fit to allow the signings of Imbula, Jese and Wimmer which collectively signalled a death toll of Premier league Stoke City. He thinks its okay to treat the supporters council and the fans like pieces of shit and treats us all like fucking idiots. Provided an abysmal explanation for the service charges introduced on tickets as well as collection charges. An unsatisfactory outcome on the QPR ticket fiasco which should have been reimbursed by cash, not by fucking club credit for the shop or another match. But its alright, we've frozen season ticket prices for 11 years now and we've got free coach travel that is being subsidised now by the new ticket charges, making us suckers pay for it. What a fantastic CEO! Yup and there is plenty more. He needs to fuck off now and we need to employ someone who knows what they are doing. 4 years of decline like we have seen in any other business would result in a sacking. Its just a fact and in reality just common bloody sense. Thanks for any good stuff you did old Tone but because of the last 4 years its time for you to move on, good luck and shut the door on the way out.

Reportedly earning over £750k pa from Stoke City So he earns less than the players? Some of the players. Fact is he's earned over 3m in the last 4 years all whilst the club has gone backwards faster than I backed out of the Birmingham home end turnstiles back in the 90s pissed realising this isn't the away end.

Isn't it funny how he always fronts up for an interview of some sort when we've won a game and the pressure has lifted slightly.
Last season I remember hearing very little from him all season and then we beat Leeds at home on January 19th and he was conveniently available for a supporters phone in on radio Stoke on the 24th prior to our next fixture.
Sums the man up really, quite how he's still holding his position is beyond me.

His continuing employment at the club especially if, you actually read and understand what the roles and responsibilities of a company Chief Executive or CEO actually are:- - remains at best, hard to justify perhaps more, completely inexplicable.

Thought I’d mention it just in case you guys ever fancy looking at the subject objectively.....however unlikely

Objectively we have signed/loaned 20+ players over the last 2 seasons pissing close to £109 million on transfers, signing on fees and wages, paying inflated salaries to bog standard journeyman (Etebo and NDiaye rare exceptions amongst a sea of mediocrity) objectively we could he heading for our 2nd relegation in 3 seasons with a wage bill that could see us starting next season with -10 points. Would a chief executive in any other professionally run business still be in a job after that catalogue of disasters??
