Born in Penkhull....still live in Penkhull 45 years later. Did you go to the same school as Sir Stan? No as he grew up in Hanley and only moved to Penkhull in mid/late1980s.

Born at Fanny Deakins in Chesterton, but lived in Knutton, then Clayton, Butterton and been in Spain for last 11 years. Stoke are and have always been in my blood. How good was it when I went an hour up the motorway to see us play Valencia and spend time with about 7,500 fans in the city and the mestalla. WOW WOW WOW Seems to be quite a few of us here who were born in 'The Fanny'

Yes but ? was born in the north staffs but is this technically Newcastle ? family lived in mayo st ! It's in Stoke on Trent, Newcastle starts at the Avenue. Main Hospital was the City General. At one time Newcastle and Stoke on Trent had different pub closing times so knowing the boundary was important to some. 😉

Juicy Janet Les was not the only one shagging her mate (allegedly), Les was sound with me probably because of the football, but he could be one cruel bastard he hit one of the lads in our year with a shovel for pissing about, you didn't mess with cod face. Very good footballer and cricketer as well was Les Knype Vics and Knype Cricket Club, taught me a lot mainly how to wind the opposition up and dark arts of the game, as you say he would have been imprison in the PC obsessed world we live in now. Ahhh hitting young boys with a shovel. Happy days, innocent times. As you say the PC brigade have a lot to answer for. He deserved it be fair and he did use the flat side, a cutting spade would have been a better tool you pinko pussy

I'm such a thick bastard. I began reading this thread and was about to comment "Do you have to be born in Hartshill to post on this thread?" until I remembered two things. First, that's where the City General is. Second, that's the hospital where I was born.

Manchester. Supported the shit as a lad. Never understood why Stuart Chadwick over the road swopped to Citeh after the plane went down at Munich.
Saw the light when I moved to N Staffs. Thought my boys should support a local team so took them to the Vic. Converted them from the Bin Dippers and Arse respectively.
Result.

I don't think that you could drive through the site and get to the other. You had to leave one site before you could enter the other.
