Wetley Rocks born and bred strong of arm weak of head, made in the British Army Did you go to Moorside... I was supposed to spent most of my time when I was there playing football for Les Lowe, my year, year above and year below, Saturday's and Sunday's, cricket for school and Ashcombe Park Kidsgove League, first's and seconds, didn't have a lot of time for learning.

Heron Cross. Didn't have much of a choice Same here - having said that though there was a lad who lived in Holly Place (now gone) who was a Vale supporter !! He was tolerated though because he was the only one who had a “Casey” and he wouldn’t let us play with it unless he was captain and we called him Valiant .

Juicy Janet Les was not the only one shagging her mate (allegedly), Les was sound with me probably because of the football, but he could be one cruel bastard he hit one of the lads in our year with a shovel for pissing about, you didn't mess with cod face. Very good footballer and cricketer as well was Les Knype Vics and Knype Cricket Club, taught me a lot mainly how to wind the opposition up and dark arts of the game, as you say he would have been imprison in the PC obsessed world we live in now.

Fanny Deakins baby factory, so no! And me, used to hate telling people when I was a kid but I find it amusing now Interesting woman, she was a communist! Fanny Deakin (1883–1968) was a politician from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, England, noted for her campaigns for better nourishment of young children and maternity care for mothers.
She was born in Silverdale, a mining village near Newcastle-under-Lyme, into a large but poor family in 1883.[1] On leaving school early she commenced work on the same farm where her family lived. Motivated by the poverty she observed around her, she entered politics and was the first woman to be elected onto Wolstanton Council as a Labour member in 1923. In 1927 she retained her seat, this time standing as a Communist. She was a popular with local people, who nicknamed her "Red Fanny" after she visited the Soviet Union in 1927 and 1930.Red Fanny!

Born in the City General. Lived in Cobridge until we moved to Blythe Bridge when I was 2. Moved down South in 1976 for work. Did you know there was a railway tunnel between Cobridge and Hanley on the old loop line ? I didn't and I say that as an old railwayman.
