If your gonna bring old threads up. At least make them interesting. Hard to know what you were expecting in a thread entitled 'Mark Hughes' other than something about Mark Hughes? Hardly news though is it ? You scouting the internet for managers odds for no apparent reason.

Christ, having a go at probably the best source of information on this whole website is a bit unnecessary, and it's a perfectly valid addition to this thread.

It was simple speculation "for no apparent reason"....in the same way that every single thread on here contains us all expressing our opinions "for no apparent reason" (as you just did there yourself). I don't really see your problem to be honest

Yeh TP was all about the longevity, that'll explain him spending more money over a five year period than everybody in the football league bar Man City and Chelsea. MH embraced the academy because he knew we couldn't sustain that amount of spending, TP also knew, he didn't care, just like he didn't care about his worshippers when he returned and treated them like twats. TP is all about TP, various courts, judges and committees have proved this throughout his time in football. Oops, I forgot, that wasn't at Stoke City so it's apparently airbrushed from history This is like a pik 'n' mix, I'm spoilt for choice here. Firstly, upon entering the premier league we had a squad that wasn't sizeable enough to compete, we had to increase the numbers. We also struggled to attract any quality as we were odds on favourites to be down in no time. We couldn't attract the right qutility, we had to build the team in stages. The money TP spent on players was in part down to the ambition of the club and the chairman to turn the scfc into a solid established premier league club, it required a lot of spending to build the club and especially the team in stages. Even so, let's have it right who was his biggest signing? Peter crouch... worth every single penny and even hughes flogged him to death for 4 to 5 years after, why? Because he failed miserably to bring in a player better in all that time. You really don't have an argument when it comes to spending money when you are shouting mark hughes' corner. Our all time club record buy played a handful of games, he's on massive money, cost a massive fee and we can't shift him, chuck in a few more notably big money flops and your argumenot disintegrates. We are enjoying the fruits of marks labour right now, we were consuming the fruits of TP's labour under Hughes. "Mark Hughes embraced the academy because he knew we couldn't continue with the amount of spending"... goes out and buys 4 players for at a guess... around £60m probably more, each and every single one of them we havn't recieved a single penny in sales for, we can't even sell them, 3 don't even want to play for the club, ndiaye has his reasons to do so too 😅 Gbp Pound for gbp pound TP'spent signings shit all over les' from a great height Pulis had to build a Premier League squad that could survive. More than half the money he spent has been recovered. Plus we still have Ryan and Jack on the books. Hughes inherited a very good PL squad and then wasted a fortune. First order of business in most windows since he left is to try to unload his rubbish.

There you go Bit odd tho, he's from near there, he's out of work... He’s from Ruabon. he’ll probably enjoy managing against us so he can see how bad we have become since he left. His ego is such it will never occur to him that it’s 95% his fault.

You have clicked a link, seemingly read a thread your not bothered about, and replied to it...for “no apparent reason”. There are more important things in life to moan about someone who is a good source of info on here.

I think it’s a good move for them and Hughes, he can do wonders when working on a budget and he’ll get a lot of respect from the players at this level. His stock may have fallen significantly in the past few years but he’s far from finished as a manager. Good luck to him. How the fuck can you wish that twat good luck? Easy... Good luck Mark Hughes. Try it
