The fear is if they're pissed the taxi driver will put it on the internet and they would be told off by the manager. When Wayne Rooney got done for drinking and driving with a woman in the car who isn't his wife it was the same. He could have easily arranged transport, and for his car to be picked up. BUT a taxi driver could sell the story and Rooney would be in trouble. He got in trouble anyway but you know what I mean. I know a lot of us bemoan how players rarely have much to do with supporters these days but there's good reasons. A dreadful excuse Joe. Oh I know mate. But that's what they fear

This is something I will never understand. I reckon every player in the Championship and above could pay someone around £60k per year to simply be on call to drive them around. For example, sit at this bar, drink Coke then drive me home. Or, the club could employ a company to cater for the driving needs of every player. Why on earth do neither of these things happen?

Rooney will fit right in with this lot (and prob. be made captain).

Seen on Twitter this morning that a voice message from someone 'ITK' has been leaked and it's even worse than reported so far. The ITK guy is supposedly Bradley Dack and if true, Lawrence and Bennett did a runner after crashing and forgot Keogh was in the back of Lawrence's car so went back to find him getting taken away in an ambulance before they got arrested. Talk of more than just drink and all sorts. Although a rival, you hope it's not true on a human level. It's ridiculously dangerous and moronic and I wouldn't surprised to see at least one of them sacked for their behaviour. A slap on the wrist won't do if it's bad as some fresh 'reports'.

A Derby supporting lad I know believes this incident has been part of the Lampard culture of drinking he brought into the club, apparently after match lock ins were a common practice. Do remember seeing a photo of that £2,800 bar bill that was doing the rounds from an edge of Derby pub after they beat Leeds in the play offs that Lampard was meant to have picked up,

They were dancing around in the dressing room, Lampard himself included. Struck me as strange for a champion like him, wallowing in glory before you've actually won anything. You would never have caught Ferguson or Mourinho jumping around giddily about winning a bloody semi-final.

Don't understand why any highly payed footballer would be drinking in excess anyway. I'd have it written in their contracts they are allowed 2 pints on a Saturday night and that's it. Any player spotted drinking outside that sacked on the spot. Most companies do drink and drugs tests these days so they should tow the line or be out.

Good to see that the bloke who was watching, taking videos and posting them on Instagram to be showing players completely pissed is now Derby's captain. Sets a fine example to the others and tries to encourage responsible behaviour. I'm sure Bennett's well chuffed.

Unfortunately though this is the sort of incident that will pull their squad together and as on Saturday results will improve. There isn't a club I would like to see struggle more than Derby.

All of those players should be charged for lawfully allowing someone intoxicated to get into a car and drive.

There are pics doing the rounds on WhatsApp of his knee, its fair to say its horrible to look at, and bones etc are on show under his kneecap
People are sharing a copy of the bar bill (almost £3k....72 Grey Goose on one part of it plus a ton of beer, spirits, shots etc), images of the cars, texts between bar staff on how obnoxious they were about paying, and from people at the scene
Wont post them in case of any ramifications to the site (hence no names are mentioned!), they aren't pleasant, and are all over Twitter anyway if you are so inclined.

Nope. It’s from when they beat Leeds in the play offs. Plenty of bullshit in this story. I’ve also been told that the leg pictures aren’t him. He wasn’t wearing training gear on the night out.
