Thats me finished until he’s gone, the stats don’t lie, had enough of the whole situation now. Cheap option time and time again as cost us. Get you hand in your pocket and get a pedigree manager, which should of happened when Hughes was sacked. Cheap options have got us into the mess we are in, whats the saying buy cheap buy twice??

I’m truly concerned. We’re in the habit of losing rather than winning. That’s not good whatever the reasons may be. A gap is beginning to open up which will only add pressure on all concerned.
Mike Pejic used the phrase yesterday in relation to NJ.....”He’ll get the sympathy vote after today’s performance”.....how true.
Every game now will be viewed as a “must win”.
I’m hoping all will turn around for NJ but he must be on very very thin ice, decisions will have to made if we continue on this route.

Evening all. The only good thing about this weekend is that I’m sunning my very ample arse in Portugal. I watched the game on the net and thought we were unlucky. The Allan sending off obviously changed the game which we looked like winning until then.McClean was crap as usual but Badou played well and could be a good partnership with Etebo in the middle whilst Joe is banned. I’m not sure how much longer they can stick with Jones but if results don’t improve I think he’ll be gone after the Forest or Huddersfield games.

And while we are on the spending money subject, invest in a new director to replace Scholes he’s way out of his depth now, look how other similar clubs are compared to us, Southampton wolves etc on and off the field.

How far the mighty have fallen in such a short space of time. Ive gone beyond anger at the state of the club, in fact feel embarrased of the team. Theres appears to be no faith in the team or players. At present i cant see us getting out of the bottom 3.

Joe Allen sending off: The Bristol player made it look much worse than it was. Allen was running with the ball and lost control by letting it run too far ahead of him. It was a case of two players both tackling for the ball, not just Joe Allen. Allen's foot was raised from ground level after the tackle had been made by being clipped on the foot by the Bristol City player, hardly worthy of a red card and 3 match ban. It wasn’t a knee high tackle, he’s actually gone in low if you watch the entire clip, the Bristol player gets to the ball a fraction of a second before Allen and Allen clips his foot after making contact with the ball. The opposition player then falls over as if pole-axed feeling his leg higher than his foot where the contact took place. He should be disciplined for play-acting. The opposition player soon recovered, almost immediately after Allen had been sent off, a case of play-acting and a gullible referee. The appeal should succeed in my opinion.

Evening guys hope your both well..
I was gutted yesterday we literally have no luck at all.. I hope I don’t sound like I’m making excuses for jones but this season we’ve had an England international cost us games, we’ve missed chances that most would score. Hit the woodwork numerous of times. The deflected goal against Birmingham summed it up.
Then finally yesterday we come out start fast score early look by far the better team then the red card completely killed the game. A bit silly from Allan but lunging in like that especially in that position on the pitch at 1-0 up.. could have just pressed the ball but on the other hand it shows a bit of determination to win the ball back.
I’m confident for Brentford, 3-1 I reckon. Or atleast I hope..
Nathan jones red and white army!

Evening to you both and good to have a word yesterday Ange. Yesterday was a must win game for me if Jones was to continue as our manager but another defeat contributed to another miserable Saturday night following Stoke City.. Joe Allen was reckless with his challenge at a time when we’d started very well.Hardlly troubled by Bristol for long periods we conceded such sloppy goals which have been the norm under Jones. I’m sorry to say there’s no way back for him now and change must happen this week for me. As I put on the Oatcake last night the usual points tally to stay up is around the 50 point mark so that’s another 49 points from 39 games. To achieve that I’d estimate we need around 13 wins and 10 draws so therefore being unbeaten for 23 games out of the 39.Can you honestly see that happening under Jones? A change is needed now or otherwise I fear we’ll be back to trips to Oxford,Blackpool,Peterborough etc etc. One last thing,if Coates and Co do keep leaving it and leaving it the more the likelihood of the capped one returning in my opinion.

Horseshit, it was a dreadful and needless tackle. A clear red and had a stoke player been on the end of it we'd be calling for a public execution.

Russ ... It was a nailed on sending off. Totally our own fault. Typical Allen - 2nd touch is a tackle!
We had much better shape WITHOUT Allen maurading all over the shop.

Greetings
We could still have won yesterday even with 10 men. But the things that’s really getting on my wotsits is Jones’s persistence with certain players despite evidence they don’t contribute much and even get in the way. At least one of them will be out for three weeks. I don’t understand this love affair with Gregory. He works hard but he’s useless by himself and still hasn’t done his main job - scoring goals

To answer your Q. Ange, I don't think there is a realistic & viable alternative manager out there.
Or, if there is, I don't know who that is.
Of course there is the Mogadon manger trio:
Big sam (yeah, right, like he'll come to Stoke now).
Moyes (have people forgotten what an absolute horlicks he made of Blunderland?).
Hughton (possibly the most viable, albeit he'd be with us for a long and very boring time I suspect).
But equally, the case for the prosecution is all but watertight where Jones is concerned, so we are in a right old pickle.
Oh how I bet Jon rues the day he and Teflon Tone inserted a relegation clause in QSF's proposed contract.

To be fair to Jones he as always said he wanted Ndiaye to stay, on yesterday's showing you can understand why so now with Etebo we've got the midfield we should have started the season with

Hi folks
My biggest worry is the fact that Nathan has started to do the drinking from the water bottle during his press conferences a la Rowett, screwing and unscrewing the lid whilst answering Angies questions and sipping away. Could be the start of the end

In my opinion Campbell is a league 1 player at best, the only thing is will it be us or somebody else he plays there for.

If we sack Jones, and I still hope things pick up so we don't have to, we'll probably need to go for an old-head.
No young manager with a career on an upward trajectory would want to risk having a basket case club like us on his CV. It'd set them back years.
Brentford next week? I just hope there isn't a result that leads to Jones' Stoke career beginning and ending with them.

I thought Gregory had an excellent game yesterday and his reaction after the game was very interesting He was absolutely gutted and I got the impression that the team are still behind the manager At times he had 3 opponents around him and he managed to hold up the ball With another player supporting him , a regular front 2 could develop - we certainly need to push on with a settled 11

Ange’s point about our decline being like the titanic is spot on.
The point of concern is “do we have the standard of management” to quickly arrest the problem and turn the club around?
IMHO with the current CEO the answer is a resounding NO.......
The family’s “loyalty” toward a supposed leader is admirable but totally misplaced. Eventually it will cost them significantly both in finance and reputation.

Decent Show, first time listening. Would you say the bulk of the 10 or so players he brought in, are nothing more then squad players? When you look at the first 11 in the main they are not his signings? Is this purely the fact nothing is working hence going back to the players already here?? He said he wanted pacey young players playing attacking football, why are barely any of his players he brought in not these kind of players? And those who were already here who are as close to that description, why are they out on loan or not in the team to see what they can do? Is he panicking hence is formation and selections ?? Are the new players they really his players or did we not get in what he wanted , and not just the farce set up and LWB. He said he would only get in players who are better, but the bulk of his signings so far are no better so far then what we had, and some of that was already poor!!

I wish everyone would forget about pieters, granted he’s a better defender that McLean no doubt about it but this pieters who everyone regards so high is the same man who went on the piss with the Cheshire housewives a night before a 6 pointer in our relegation season!
People like him are better off away from the club!!
