The next issue of Duck (number 53) will be sold at the ground before the Bristol City game on Saturday: near the club shop/ near the Banks statue/ between Delilah’s bar and the satellite ticket office/ near the Boatcake barge.
It will also on sale for supporters heading to Brentford before they board the official coaches.
Amongst other stuff, Issue 53 includes -A wonderful and extended Terry Conroy interview (for those who have read his autobiography, fear not - there are some new tales as well as his take on the recent goings-on at the club). -The usual diary of all things SCFC - not to be consumed if in a delicate emotional state -A remarkable and unique article about Stoke fan Cockney Ted - not to be missed -Rob Doolan's take on the promotion team of 2002 - Inspired by recent events on the pitch, Tim Gallimore recounts his most painful SCFC memories -Dave Proudlove considers the loss of Bojan and describes the historical links between SCFC and the MLS
Issues in the near future will include extended interviews with Peter Thorne, Chamberlain brothers Mark & Neville and John Acres.
If nothing else, I always think the magazine and its beautiful front covers make for great coasters...

He was a hero of mine as a lad, too. I mean this genuinely... the nicest feller you could ever meet. Humble, grateful and self-depracating in the extreme. Apart from the odd surf, he is in full on Dad-mode with 3 kids under the age of 6. I got the feeling he was as glad to have a pint and footy chat as I was! It's a cracking interview with a bloke who seemed to have little idea of what he meant to so many of us.

Always been an Oatcake man myself but now seems as good a time as any to give it a try.
How much does it cost? Just so I have the right amount of change!

Last home game I had the same thought and gave it a try. It’s not the oatcake but I really enjoyed the read. Looking forward to reading the next one.

Hope you told him how adored he was!! All the best.

Once more for posterity then... Posh spice is a slapper she was since she was born. But when she's shagging Beckham she thinks of Peter Thorne.

We walk up Stan Matthews Way then down the slope towards the south stand - are there any sellers on our route?

Saw Thorny yesterday pushing a pram! Looked like he could still do the buisness on the pitch too - carrying less timber than Vokes.
