5-3-2 Butland Collins Batth Lindsay RWB - Edwards LWB - McLean Etebo Allen Powell Hogan Gregory We're goin long ball. Defenders just do the basics, head it when they need to and go long when the chance arrives. Edwards and McLean will do a lot of running and get early crosses in when they can. Powell (if fit) will be there to try and make things happen when the long ball bounces back, Etebo and Allen need to start winning those second balls and giving it to him early. It won't be pretty but I don't want us pissing about with it, putting ourselves in danger. We need a result and unfortunately I think the only way to get that is to be ugly. And the first person to break up a promising attack with a lazy back pass gets castrated!

God knows.
Maybe that's where he gets the line up(s) from? That's another corker of a regular line aimed at him during the Team News threads. Missed that one. Now, now.
No need for that tone, Mr Jones.

5/2 odds on Bristol City looking like the standout value on the betting slip this weekend.

Not a clue. Hopefully it won’t be another shit show and a painfully slow finish until it’s January and nothing has changed?
On a positive note, let’s get the 3 points any way we can!

It’s a strange thing when so many players are mentioned. Basically we haven’t a clue what the best 11 is!

www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-citys-expected-xi-face-3307769Predicted Bristol City team (5-3-2): Bentley, Rowe, Baker, Williams, Moore, Hunt; Brownhill, Massengo, Palmer; Weimann, Diedhiou. Looks like they'll be without their 2 big loan-to-permanent signings, Da Silva (broken leg) and Kalas - which is something, as well as a few other injured players.....and Benny.

If that's the case mate, we want our arses kicking if we can't dredge a result up. What do you think might happen with another home defeat?

It’s a strange thing when so many players are mentioned. Basically we haven’t a clue what the best 11 is! Do we have a best 11 though? Most of our players are poor,it's just a matter of playing 11 of the least poor, which means too many will be playing out of position. If and when we do win a game,it will be more by luck than design.

I can't see Jones surviving if we suffer defeat this weekend, especially with Brentford away next week. That being said, Pejic seems to think he's been given until the next international break in October, leaving Nath 6 games. He needs to pick what he thinks his best team is, in a system he knows and believes in, and stick with it for the next 6 games barring injury etc... I'd go : Butland Smith - Collins - Indi - Mclean Woods Etebo Ndiaye Ince Gregory - Campbell

Thank God. (just showing Nathan some support there). We might actually get an outbreak of football tomorrow, after this interminable International break and all the pointless talk and arguments. At least I had my keyboard to hand during all of this.

It’s now. I wouldn’t bother. I would have expected them to do extra training than normal but they did 3 days last week and a normal week this week so I assume that’s 4 days. Whilst they do need a rest it’s ridiculous when you’ve got 1 point from 6 games.

Is it just me who thinks we’re gonna get hammered tomorrow? Well going by our form of concedeing 2 goals a game and our heads dropping when we concede we could well get a hammering I don't think Bristol will cautiously approach the game I think they'll go at us we usually struggle when teams up the tempo and move the ball quicker.

I've never argued particularly strongly before for a change of manager....the problem has always been ...who would you replace the incumbent with and whoever it is will have an uphill task as they have to work for a reasonable amount of time with an inherited squad who are usually not performing and lacking confidence. ....I do now think, unfortunately, that we should replace Nathan.... having said that I'm going against all the odds and I'm going for a good convincing performance and a Stoke win tomorrow....a typical Stoke happening to confound us.

I’m going 1-2, with us scoring first!

To me if they don't win convincingly this should be his last game Why wait and listen to his platitudes for another month . Put Kevin Russel in charge and find someone who can do the job

If its clear after a few games that it's just not working out for NJ then I think we should leave Kevin Russell in charge for the remainder of the season?
