Due to the lack of responses I suggest you change your venue - go to Longton or similar, its great.

Well the Forest game is on sky so any English bar will have that on. I doubt any of us over here will even get the Crawley game.

For some reason, the Glasgow Rangers bars in Benidorm were always keen on having the stoke games on. They seemed to know a Stokie who used to do the Karaokes up Sandford Hill. Most bizzare conversation ever perhaps. However Down to whoever this Stokie was meant they had stoke games on.

I went to a bar selling oatcakes and had buses to Valencia.
I didnt get the bus.
I was also pissed so no idea of its name or location.
Someone on here must know if that was a stoke themed pub or its name as it's at least scfc friendly so might put it you on especially if a few of you

I've always wondered, when does a bar become a 'Stoke' bar?
Does the landlord need to support Stoke or is a yellowing scarf sellotaped to the wall sufficient?
Most football bars I have been to overseas tend to pay homage to several clubs, it would be a high risk business strategy to nail all your colours to the wall of one Championship club I would imagine.
Go on, someone tell me I am wrong, I probably am!

It's not a Stoke pub, but always Stokies in there if we are on.

The Marina hotel shows all of the live football it has the largest screen I have ever seen. You can sit outside and enjoy a quiet beer and several noisy ones which should dull the pain.

Go on, someone tell me I am wrong, I probably am! Excellent question. Back in the early 90s, I used to use the Park Tavern in Southfields (London SW 15). Pretty grim place as it happens. So a home from home for a Stokey. There was all manner of SCFC memorabilia behind the bar. The landlord's explanation was that it had been a regular of Huddo's once upon a time. I suspect he had more than one. However, was it a Stoke bar? No, I don't think it was.

But the real question is: how big was the screen at Machu Picchu? And how did people respond when you turned up in your parallels, DMs, silk scarf, etc - chanting "Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough"?

Hopefully they don’t serve any of that foreign muck. Nothing worse than travelling to a different country and not being able to get a full English or a roast dinner. <winky face>

Best spelling I’ve seen is chease and beacon. They were probably English owners though...

The best instance of this kind of caper I ever saw was about 20 years ago in Torremolinos (or somewhere else equally as awful, I forget now) in which the proprietor of one 'Brit Pub' had laminated a cut out of the face of Peter Kay and blu-taked it to the chalkboard.
Next to this was written 'GALLIC BRAD!'
It was like some sort of avant-garde work.
Tremendous.

After all we seem to have a lot in common, having been through a long summer transfer window with them.

Quite fancy a trip to Benidorm. Been meaning to catch up on all the old Only Fools and Horses episodes for ages...... Interestingly I've just booked a 5 day trip there with the gang at the end of February to take in either the Benidorm 10K or the half marathon. It'll be interesting to see if all the bad press is fair or just the usual prejudice. I was a bit shocked last December to find out that Lanzagrotty was a very nice place to spend a week
