Not sure that’s wise. I reckon Betamax is better for the long term.

Btw, I have a Pioneer dvd-recorder but it still sounds a lot when the disc is spinning (plays). It doesn't matter what disc I put in. The technician told me the player needs a lubricant, since vital plastic parts can dry out in time. Then the sound appear. But hmm... I don't know what such a service would cost. £50-100?

Sorry, Bath ... Now back on track. Unfortunately, iPlayer BBC can't be played in my territory it says. But it doesn't really matter. Hitler Documentaries are shown on TV here every day it seems, especially the last decade ...

But I am a true believer of a non-existent free will. That's why I never watch these.

Am I getting obsessed by Brexit, as the Vox Pops largely sounded like remainders!

The darkest secret of WW2 - Hellstorm Documentary PT. 1 (Mirror) I stopped watching when they dubbed an actors voice doing a Winston Churchill impression, then started spouting unsubstantiated scientific hypotheses as fact. The bloke who wrote the book looks like some sort of American white supremacist. Isn’t the reason that the Nazis did so well when they first took control of Germany, because they just stopped paying reparations for WWI

I’m surprised Hitler hasn’t won a posthumous BAFTA for the amount of television he generates.

Mankind will never learn from History. It can only be inspired, as the marionettes we are.
Therefore, a good start would be to erase History as a mandatory school subject.
I don't believe in mankind.

In his rise to Chancellor, Adolf has no interest in the running of law, the dealings of government, does not read briefings or hear the words of experts. Rise of the Nazis, Series 1: 2. The First Six Months in Power: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0008c79 via @bbciplayer We live in interesting times...

Totally agree - I found Jerry Building (Nazi Architecture) and Jo Building (Stalinist architecture) very good too. The book of his film scripts and newspaper articles, called 'Museums Without Walls', is well worth getting hold of. As I vaguely remember, he did one episode of 'Further Abroad' on the architecture of brewing, with lots about Burton on Trent.

Give it a good squirt of WD40 that should do the trick
