The problem Jon coates has is he is badly advised, he probably even reads this board because he has tried to give what 'the fans' themselves wanted, a younger manager away from the same old names on the merry go round, that is what people wanted. first Rowett & now jones who was known for fast attacking football at luton. Even so, I'd like to know the real reasons why jokanovic didn't want to know about the job in the first place, the answer is probably close to the truth of what is wrong at the club. If I was him and jones leaves then he would be wise to go for an experienced manager like moyes & get someone in like TP as football director. Giving cartwright a job as recruitment/football director was ridiculous though as a premiership club. You only have to look how wolves linked up with a super agent whilst we had mark fucking Cartwright, an ex leek town gk & solicitor. Then you have a CEO who is well past his use by date, so what do you get when you put them together? A fucking circus that's what you get. Dunno about moyes and TP but, I’m with you all the way with the rest 👍

Should we be relegated, I doubt very much that we would be paying our CEO even £250k ( not his current £1m), so perhaps that would be the time that there is a “mutually agreed” parting of the ways. Should the Coates family remove it’s support from the Club, we would be in administration within 6 months; there is no other local investment available, and I cannot see that this squad would entice any foreign interest. Any new owners would want to take over a debt free club due to the fact that new player investment would be needed, and to do that the Coates’ would have to swallow the £125m of debt owed to them. Would you do that ( anyone)? If I had their cash yes I would wouldn't you ? No. I would consider us as being an ungrateful bunch and continue fiddling while Rome burns; then again Shylock was very generous compared to me.😉

And have an operating profit of 682 million?? Its peanuts to them to be fair, peanuts.. I would love to see the transfer in /against out for the last 3 seasons, people say rowett spent loads but then look at what went out. Net spend was next to nothing this season We spent less than 6 million and would of made a profit if Jack had gone. Coates family want a self serving club where they can make a profit, it just don't happen at clubs like stoke we aren't a man city/ Chelsea who sent 80+ players out on loan

Well, if they did write it off (peanuts to them or not), where is our nextKnight in shining armour coming from? Money wise the Coates family have definitely supported us brilliantly, they have made poor decisions over the past 3 years, but if we expect them to continue to bankroll the club but have no say in its running, then we are being unrealistic. If there are equally benevolent investors out there, then great- but without their input we will likely follow Bolton very quickly.

I can assure you they arn't in it for profit

TP as a director of football. You might as well shut the club down. Awful idea. Yeah because he has been a right disaster previously when he was effectively single handedly being the manager & football/recruitment director. The problems started when his recruitment nouse left the club.

March is a Pulis fan, not a Stoke fan. He wouldn't be behind any manager who wasn't TP, succesful or otherwise. He's loving every second of this. March is a wind up merchant thats all, like you say he aint a stoke fan. Course he's a Stoke fan. He is an outstanding wind up merchant as well though.

However, i'll concede that if we end up in league 1 it may come in handy, you may get your wish to effectively field a college team

Easy to say isn't it that when you arn't managing the team. Cowards don't take jobs like the stoke job. Cowards don't hand 18 year olds captains armbands.

He got skinned, put on his arse in actual fact as he went to ground whilst a player walked straight past him through the centre of defence. Tom pope had a field day against him at vale park. He's not a bad player, he isn't the current answer though, he is learning his trade with minutes on the pitch then taken out again. How it should be done. The guy hasnt even played first team football and you're expecting him to just walk into the team as a starter and play 30 games?

Easy to say after it, but were you saying it well we were on an upward trajectory, a long term upward trajectory. I highly doubt it, the ground was the loudest it has ever been under pulis. Tells it's own story
