Always like to jump on an interesting debate. Both I think have good points, but I will use Alex Ferguson words (much as I dislike ManU) for Campbell right now, if you're good enough you're old enough. From what we have seen he's good enough so the age argument does not hold much weight. Could be said for Edwards but he still (I think) has a bit to do and Collins is very good but, not quite good enough yet (though he's close). Sure some younger player need to be loaned and slowly brought along, others have it to be chucked right in. I would be foolish to assume we know from the outside but all we can do is make judgments on what we have seen. Where in the USA are you based? Just outside of Philadelphia

having watched that video, I think it's now pretty clear who the brains of the BET365 outfit belong too.
God I wish Denise was a Stoke fan, we'd be in the Champions League and Tony Scholes would be on the dole!

Just outside of Philadelphia I spent 5 years living in Lansdale! Can’t say I miss the “Skookill parking lot”! We lived in Landenberg, PA, while working for DuPont. Have a daughter that went to St. Joes and still lives in Philadelphia. Great city, great people - tell it exactly the way they see. Still miss 610 WIP - now that’s how sports radio should be.

The worst thing about philly was the commute. I remember that about twice a year I had to sleep at the office because the trains got snowed out! Very pretty countryside around Philly.

I am a few miles outside of the Schuylkill craziness, but deal with it when I got to the city for sports or music. Out in the country where people look at me funny when I tell them I support Stoke, but good people in this part of the country.

Shouldn't think it'd make a shit of difference. Bet365 could still pour money in under the auspices of 'sponsorship' but just not have the pitchside/shirt branding that goes with it. Paddy Power sponsor Huddersfield but that firm's branding isn't on the shirt. Stoke could just give the shirt sponsorship away to the Donna Louise or similar. Depending on how far they seek to restrict gambling sponsorship though, we could end up with the Tile Mountain Stadium.

Gambling is biggest local employer and John Coates quoted as saying that Stoke survives on Bet365 so shouldn't it be The Bookies instead of Potters?

I expect the day will come when bet365 will become separated from the club.
Eventually bet365 will be floated off on the stock exchange to become a public company, while the Coates family will retain ownership of the club.

When pete first took over again he said he would be looking for other board members and investment as the board was too small.
Pete. Transfer me 100m. I'll invest in the club for a 5% fee. Thanks.
