Jones will be going early next week to deflect blame yet again but surely Juniors position at the club must also be in question, surely.
Who keeps employing these idiots and whatever “the plan” and “no lessons learnt” is an absolutely piss take of the highest order.
This club is poison

The club previously tried your older experienced type manager. They then went for rowett who many on here were calling for and nearly got derby up just before we nabbed him. It didn't work out though. We then went for someone who had played exciting, attacking football, gaining two back to back promotions and out scoring most of europe in the process. It hasn't worked out though. We can moan at this and that, but the two appointments were not wank or stupid at the time.

It would be a brave soul who advocated us turning our backs on the Coates fortune - Bolton is club of very similar characteristics to our own ......and they aren’t a pretty picture right now. Can’t help thinking PC will step in soon with some firm directions towards an experienced manager.

He was the cheap and available option and nothing else having not planned Hughes' replacement

I don't think the appointments of Rowett and Jones were horrendous at all, hindsight is a wonderful things.
It's the total lack of a coherent vision for the club that's the issue, spending money on players that don't fit the system. We need a proper, experienced Director of Football type to hold all that together so that whoever the manager everyone knows the vision and philosophy of the club.
If that's John Beck hoofing the ball long so be it, as long as everyone's singing from the same hymn sheet.....

I don’t think it is fair to blame Jon for this crisis.
I blame the process.
It needs to be scrapped, the appointment of Carto’s successor needs delaying and a very experienced manager with a track record of saving crisis clubs has to be appointed.

Great opportunity for JC to demonstrate decisive leadership. No “what’s all the fuss about” dithering this time. We can still recover from this but not if we leave it much longer.....
The 3rd tier would kill the club dead this time - we’re no Sunderland

That is on the board.

The Board has tried to be innovative and gone for managers who seemed to be on the up. They backed their managers, but it just hasn't worked out.

What process would that be?? Everything this club has done over the last three years or so have been shambolic both and off the field, most short fallings are insanely stupid “catering” comes to mind how hard can that be to actually achieve a satisfactory standard?? Firm believer of if you can’t get the basics right don’t bother

And surely it is the manager’s job to have such a forceful presence to ensure this vision is carried out. Wasn’t that how Shankly, Clough, Waddo, SAF, Revie, TP, Stein, etc operates?

Indeed - not saying he’s the best but at least he’s got 2 or 3 successful appointments to his name - and none of them were inexperienced.

Lol, you know how backward SCFC is when the appointments of Rowett and Jones are classed as innovative. Man alive. What and who would you have called innovative? How can appointing Rowett or Jones be classed as innovative? Innovative for SCFC would be to appoint John Terry with an experienced number 2 working closely with a proper Technical Director.
