You should be far more worried about the state of gbp foreign exchange if you’re going abroad.

When I am travelling alone I usually get a pal to pick me up at the BP station on site. Only a 2 or 3 minute walk. Which isn't there anymore, if its the one near T1 and T3. Well i couldn't see it yesterday

T1 parking for me in a couple of weeks, long weekend somewhere in Germany.
Taxi fare £45 each way.
Multi storey parking charge £68 but got it through groupon for £40. I’ll take that 👍

If you want to avoid the fees at T3 and don't mind a little bit of a walk, get dropped off near where all the car rental places are.
Best airport I've flown from in the UK is Bristol. A quid to drop off which is reasonable and just much more of a pleasant experience than Manchester. The smaller airports are normally better. Liverpool and Leeds/Bradford are similar. I live 10 mins away from Manc Airport but don't mind flying from other airports if its significantly cheaper, which it often is.

Yesterday morning £3 for two minutes drop off. Two of the exits weren't working with cars having to reverse back out and it was pissing down sideways glad I'd got 3 pound coins to stash in the machine

Went to pick the wife up at terminal 2 at Manchester. Follow the signs to pick up and then park up. 1 hour and 13 minutes later we get to the parking payment machine-£10. Daylight robbery. Luton is he same mate , took the kids to the O2 recently , parking on site from 7 pm till 10pm. £35 😤😤😤 Luton?? it is no where near the O2, why did you stop there?

If you fly from Heathrow or Gatwick, please believe what you read on the News, these Fly by Night Companies do take your car & park it in Residential streets, we have that issue here in Datchet, Windsor...people turning up on the backs of Mopeds with bunches of keys in their hands trying out different keys to open a certain car and wheel spinning out of the close because the road is gravel & private, so no yellow lines.

I'v been flying in/out of MAN for the last 30 years.
For an inbound passenger it's still a time warp.. steps up/down to the baggage area.. same carpet since the 90s?.. the Escape "lounge" is I presume is named that because that's pretty much what you want to do when in there. The state of the art "car rental village" is basically a few portacabins, and a footpath that is 2 foot wide (lovely when passing other travelers who also have heavy cases in the rain).. a bus that that must have been procured from Toy Town and arrives with the frequency of Halleys Comet.. oh and not's let forget the "helpful" bus driver who has is not allowed to assist anyone (even seniors or the less abled) with cases.. and my all time fav there are no "Car Rental Return" signs.. except one that is so close you can see the place.. every year I go back I remind Hertz... and the usual response is ..."yeah I know it's crazy init".... smh hard to believe Manchester is the 2nd largest city in the country...

very funny Harry... and you Limeys call it an airport! The kids flew into Philadelphia on route to Toronto earlier this year and the plane was cancelled due to storms. They were met with a combination of indifference and downright rudeness from the staff, completely misinformed and sent from desk to desk until my daughter took control of the situation. Shocked that it could happen with the reputation for service over there. They were initially told the next plane was in 4 days and had to find out themselves that it was actually in something like 5 hours.

I've been stuck in Dallas for 3+ days due to the winter storms a number of times. Best course of action is not to stand in line but get on the 800# and rebook on the next available (which could be days). Then book yourself a hotel. If you fly regularly here you get used to it and try to keep your blood pressure down (flying with cary-on only for short trips is also an advantage) Sorry you had a bad experience in PHL.. not my favorite airport either.
