“I might have come from League One, I might now be a Championship manager, but I believe my work is top-end. If it’s top-end, then players will respond to it. That’s the only way I would like to gain their respect.
“I will get to know them, I will man-manage them, because that’s part and parcel of my job, and it’s what I like doing. But the fundamental thing is when we go out on the training ground, they will see work that defies where I’ve come from. People will say: ‘You haven’t managed at the top level.’ But I believe if I was to put my work against top-level coaches, there would be no big gap."
“I ask them to buy into it now. Be part of the journey now. Don’t be a sceptic. Get right behind us, because they are a great group of fans. I’ve played here, I’ve had some hidings here. I’ve listened to Delilah four times in a game. I can promise you that my staff will give them a team that they can be proud of. I guarantee it.”

Yep, aged like a huge turd turd that has been flushed since he said it. I like him and what he says, but either the players are too pig shit thick to attend his football university or it all a load of cobblers

I was talking to my mate in the pub earlier tonight. We couldn't agree on the exact date that Stallington Hall closed.

Its hard not to say that in your head as David Brent. Said before but our board should have insisted on Harford coming with him and paid the extra compensation. Harford’s been with him since 2016 doing mainly player recruitment, we could have done with his input this summer considering what we’ve ended up with.

I've known a few people who talk like that, tell everybody how good they are at their job ..... it's only when you see them in action that the truth comes out that they're just bullshitters.

It's okay, we've signed great characters and fantastic human beings who now operate in a positive environment with a winning mentality.... what a load of old shite.

Part of the deal that allowed Jones to leave was that Hartford stayed at Luton. The guy is Luton through and through and didn't actually want to leave anyway.

Well...basically the opposite has happened. Pretty much everything he has said the opposite has happened. Maybe he should say we are shit and that the players are useless (I know it won't work but might be just as successful as present). Energetic wing backs, team we are proud of, hard working, young, athletic, attacking blablabla. 5 at the back, and no shape or system. 1 up front and hoof without any tactics and a terrible defence. He basically crucified those young guys didn't he? They were not prepared

Instead we got Paul Fucking Hart, for a bloke that Nath seems to rely so heavily upon, he failed miserably as a manager and was extremely fortunate to be at Leeds and forest when they had two exceptional youth sides. The whole Jones era turned to shit as soon as that clown walked through the door and has gotten progressively worse.

As much as I like Jones as a personality and cannot argue with his record at Luton, the reality is this: our results under him are truly diabolical.
God works in mysterious ways.

I would like to see a system that suits our players better instead of the diamond and other systems where the players don't know what to do.

You’re right though, he needs to find a system that works and fast.

Yeah he bullshitted luton to promotion too Different levels altogether, it's clear to see and hear from his interviews now he's completely out of his depth and has no idea how to turn it around. The job is to big for him. Bury your head in the sand but the guy has massive whiff of Steve Cotterill about him. Good recorded in the Micky mouse leagues, talks good game but fundamentally can't cut it at this level.

Blind belief in your own ability isn´t the same thing as having ability.
If talking a good game was enough there are folk on here who would get us to the Champion´s League.

Try and realise that mourinho would struggle at stoke currently. Clueless! If Mourinho was in change for last 8 months and brought 10+ of his own players in then I'm pretty certain we wouldn't be sitting bottom of the championship and looking like team of strangers. Just have to look at likes of Swansea who were in far worse position then us when we got relegated to realise that argument is flawed.
