Didn't think he'd drop all three and revert to the rhombus - fair play to NJ.

I think Butland should've been dropped completely in all honesty. Imagine if he has to come on after a few mins? Yes I agree, I'd have sent him away from the club for a week, told him to sort his head out

Woods is the only change i would question today Would you have had him instead of Clucas? Instead of cousins

Has a look of desperation about it though Iโm 100 percent behind him dropping Butland, Allen, Batth. Iโd have had Woods ahead of Cousins. Question is what do we do if this doesnโt work make 6 more changes next game.

Where is the creativity in that side though?

Same formation as Wigan then. We should be able to see what we are playing this time, Duffy won't be striker.

So whereโs the guile in that team, would have retained Woods and had Verlinden on or on the bench. Very defensive looking team. Weโll see. What I was thinking... can't see much creativity. 0-0 is the best we can see with that as I can't see us scoring. We don't score many when we create lots of chances so God nows how we will with no creativity.

Can't accuse him of being blind to the problems for today's game at least.
Up to the players coming in to prove their worth.
GO ON STOKE !!!
Give us something to believe in...

Hogan two goals and can't get a game..... Gregory will be better suited to playing the dogged lone striker role.

Woods is the only change i would question today I was going to say the same thing. The other players he has dropped were on a poor run of form - whereas Woods had one poor game after a few decent ones. I think he has possibly been unlucky. But, that aside, credit to Jones - no one can accuse him of cowardice with this team selection.

Would you have had him instead of Clucas? Instead of cousins I think it's been shown we need a bit more physicality in that role on occasions, although I would have considered him to play instead of Clucas alongside Etebo for his passing ability. Jack should have been sent to sit on a beach for a week or so, get his head cleared. Surely Davies could have done bench duty?

Seems a bit desperate - has he resorted to the "blindfold and pin" method of team selection already?

Had to update the title as Iโm unsure what it is 3511? 352? 541 diamond? 532? It will be what we played at Wigan, won't it Jase? (A diamond 541). That would be my guess anyway

Even if we get twatted today which we probably will, that formation is the only one we can use with the players we have and he needs to stick with it.
