If you'd have asked me 12 months ago about TP coming back I'd have laughed and told you to go fuck yourselves but it's getting close to the point where he may possibly be the only person available who'd get us out of this mess. So he gets us out of this mess, but then what?

So he gets us out of this mess, but then what? Get us promoted after a couple of seasons of consolidation whilst boring us all rigid and dividing the fan base again. Sometimes you have to go through a bum fucking to get where you want to be. All this could have been avoided mind.

There are some truly, truly terrifying names on that list. It's enough to give you sleepless nights isn't it? Hughton's the stand-out, but Huddersfield will get him you'd think. Monk's done a decent job at Swansea and Birmingham. Adkins has a good record but there's something a bit creepy about him. TP would keep us up no doubt but would split the fanbase straight away. The fan base is already split. Half think we’re shit, the rest think we’re really shit.

should have gone for Potter when we had the chance I’m not sure Guardiola would make a difference never mind Potter. I just think that problems at the club run deeper than the manager (just look at the continuing mess around live broadcasts, the food hygiene, commercial etc) so if these basics can’t be sorted why should we expect better from the playing side. Until the foundations of the club are properly sorted at executive level with a proper vision, I can’t see any light at the end of the tunnel.

Surely the owners must be looking at what’s out there managerial wise with an appointment for the forthcoming international break.

Surely the owners must be looking at what’s out there managerial wise with an appointment for the forthcoming international break. They'd be foolish not to even if they just put the feelers out to potential replacements but with their track record they probably don't know what the fuss is about.

It popped up on Twitter or something from sky Sports that he might be. Or I dreamt it. God knows 😂

I'm starting to come round to the same conclusion. As someone who couldn't wait to see the back of him (both times) I always thought we'd have to be in a real kind of mess before I'd want us to resort to the kind of uber-pragmatic survival football he'd inevitably dish up. However, i think we're in exactly that mess right now. I'd much rather have Chris Hughton or possibly Moyes due to the absence of baggage they'd bring, but I think it's that type of manager we need now- someone who'll get us organised and mould the crap he's inherited into a functional team.

I would rather get relegated than have Pulis back. Anyway I didn't think him & John Coates got on & with him seemingly calling the shots it isn't very likely is it?.

When you look at the alternatives to Jones I think it's time we offered Jones a contract extension.

Not really. People are staying he would stop the rot. He would sort this shit show out. No-ones expecting it to be pretty but you can’t say he won’t go back to basics and start rebuilding the foundations.

Does Pulis' recent track record suggest he could bring any degree of success to accompany the scratching-your-eyes-out tedium?

Jones will come good he has seen what's going on and now I expect him to start the dropping of poor performing players, ffs sake people take a chill pill and give him a chance. Pulis will destroy stoke, dont people remember what it was like and whats gone on since he left, the man is a dinosaur ,hope the fucker ends up in jail the corrupt twat.

Does Pulis' recent track record suggest he could bring any degree of success to accompany the scratching-your-eyes-out tedium? I guess for some success is now avoiding relegation? I couldn't see him getting us out of here in the upwards direction again, but I'm sure there is no way we'd go down either. But surely we are not at that point of desperation yet?
