The bloke hasn't been paid a penny for four months. Some of the comments on his board only back up his belief that their is more than meets the eye when it comes to the scandal of the lack of BAME managers in this country. He wasn't salaried but had his expenses covered. None to shabby a hotel and travel and sustinence all covered and paid ahead of his players.

Backed up his mouth and did one of the hardest jobs in professional football last season, in his first managerial job.
Full respect from me, for whatever that is worth!

I'm not knocking him, just pointing out for balance he wasn't out of pocket, and his career and earnings to date would permit him to do so.

So he’s called out clubs for not giving black managers a chance then he leaves the club whose put him on the ladder and giving him that chance leaving them in the lurch so he can further his career as there’s no way they’d of sacked him Utter bollocks WTF!!!!!!!!.....Is this meant to be irony, or sarcasm???? If not, that is just loaded. The guy had the balls go to the bottom of the League ( something very few top international players have to do) and performed a miracle at that club. Has not been paid for months.

He's doing it as a protest that a white manager got the Chelsea job Wanker Why? Have we suddenly just got to completely forget about him unfairly playing the race card when it suited him a few years ago? The bloke who publicly complained he wasn't being given a manager's job for being black whem in reality he hadn't even finished doing his badges at the time? Have we now got to worship him as some kind of saint despite him being an utter prick back then? It's like people who suddenly decided Cheryl Cole was a national treasure when she was on telly every week and conveniently forgot she used to be a racist thug. Some may love him nowadays but i still think he's a prick for what he did. Unnecessarily playing the race card when it's completely unwarranted and has no relevance just to get your voice heard and to try to get ahead in life, is just as despicable as racism itself and just as damaging to any kind of real equality in society. I'm not going to suddenly go all loved up on the prick because he did a good job at Macclesfield

You question (that is an understatement) his right to bring attention to it. That is the truly disturbing and revealing bit, something that is backed up by statistics and you are happy to be openly hostile towards him for even raising it as an issue? Spare me all that crap about badges. That makes him an utter prick...really???....do me a favour! The guy decided to back up his argument by going to the bottom of the league ladder to make a point and put his beliefs on the line, and neither has he made a big deal about it. As a reward for an incredible job didn't get paid. You don't have to love him, no-one is asking anybody to do so, there is no need to do so, it's quite bizarre that you think it is, but some respect should be in order. The only thing missing here are the bananas.

The only thing missing here are the banana skins. That stat is an absolute load of bollocks. Of all the footballers who have represented England over the last 40 years or so and are now retired from playing, how many have been black and how many have been white? I dont know the ratio but I bet it's at least 2:1 in favour of white players. To call MickMills a racist, which is pretty much what you have done is disgraceful, when all he has done is say what a lot of folk think about Sol Campbell and other folk who like to invent imaginary racism. Don't forget that this is the bloke who claimed that he would have captained England if he was white! All this after Paul Ince was made captain before Sol Campbell had even kicked a ball for England. Sol Campbell is a bit of a daft paranoid prick, regardless of how good a player he was, or how well he did his first managerial job last season.

You don't have to love him, no-one is asking anybody to do so, there is no need to do so, it's quite bizarre that you think it is, but some respect should be in order. The only thing missing here are the bananas. No! He didn't state what he did in order to raise a point about the lack of black managers in English football (which is a perfectly valid debate to have). He was specifically talking about himself and it being the reason why HE hadn't been offered managerial positions. That's why him not doing his badges isn't "crap" at all, as that was the actual reason as he has to have them before anyone can offer him a managerial position. Sol Campbell was NOT trying to be a spokesperson for black managers in football, he was saying that it was due to the colour of his skin that HE hadn't been given a job that no-one could actually offer him anyway in the first place, precisely because he hadn't done his badges. Why should i "spare you that crap"? Simply because it's massively relevant to what actually happened and that doesn't fit the rest of your argument? He was rightly called out on it at the time, don't try to re-write history and now paint him as some kind of Martin Luther King of football.

Did an excellent job at Macc and deserves a shot at a bigger club. Proved a few people wrong has big Sol. Still think he's a complete muppet but he's an intelligent guy and has the tactical brain to be a great manager.

Yes, he backed himself so agreed to manage Macclesfield rather than contracted wages agreement was for expenses to be paid. Clever way as bills in name of Macc FC will get paid over players, which appears to be the case. I'm not knocking Sol, just pointing out he was paid albeit all his food, travel and accommodation in expenses rather than via a salary. The players on the other hand, kids to feed, mortgage to pay etc???

Of that I am 100% sure. We get it every time on this board on all the other millions of posts we have had about Sol Campbell. So he does silly things sometimes. Like who doesn't? So what!....Same old story and then all this crap that makes out these posters are themselves the victims. That's the bit I dislike. Same old strategy.

I think there is a debate to be had about the lack of black managers in the professional game, there is simply no logic to the figures but I also happen to think Campbell talks a load of twaddle at times and doesn't really help himself or the cause much. However, the last 24 hours have certainly given extra credence to some of the things he says from where I'm standing.
