Hadn’t seen this before, how do we know what’s real anymore lol I think I need that explaining.....it means absolutely zilch to me  These things called Deepfakes are very scary, because in the wrong hands they can be used for a whole world of bad. Basically, they use an AI algorithm to fake faces onto people. The deepfakes can take a while to make because they require a decent amount of GPU horsepower from the computer it's being created on, also requires scripts so the AI knows what it's working on. Then it can match facial expressions up.
They can be used for innocent enough things, but the worry has been about faking politicians into things they've never been involved in or things like creating porn with peoples faces in e.g. someones friend, celebrities, and then these deepfake videos get posted online. Can cause a whole heap of havoc.
