It probably wont matter what team he goes with.
Theres clearly something wrong within the ranks. The manager hasn't created a winning atmosphere or philosophy.
We're too weak. Weve lost all appetite for a battle.
The complete opposite of a Tony Pulis team.

Bogle went off injured yesterday for Derby so hopefully that’s one threat we don’t face.We have to be in their faces from the off just like the home game last season and they’ll have Bielik making his debut sitting in front of their back four. Etebo must surely come in for the out of form Allen and surely CCV will start also

.....He will wheel out another player to spout out how ‘we weren’t at it today and must do better’ blah blah Fuckin blah..
It was Sam Clueless last week v Qpr and yesterday it was Tom ‘Do you know who my Dad is’ Ince spouting how we didn’t do the basics!!!
Just fuck Off and do them then!!! It’s boring now.
I will go for Jack Butland after the derby game for the latest bollox of how shit we were.

Pick the same 11 and anyone left out has to fight for their place and prove they are better. When they're in they have to justify their selection and keep their place on merit otherwise they lose their place to someone better. To keep changing for the sake of it is how we messed up yesterday. We were doing ok until NJ screwed it up changing it. The players have to be hungry, don't get injured, be fit, determined and good enough to keep their place. If someone isn't then sub/drop them and whoever comes in has their chance. Stick with the same 11 for now, for Wigan also. In the last couple of seasons what's the longest run with the same 11? Look at the clubs that did well last year and how many times they changed. If NJ doesn't know what his 11 is then get someone in that does.

To answer the question he’ll be praying for a victory.
However it could be feasibly 3 defeats on the spin. Green shoots or not, the record is there for everyone to see.
I just look at our squad and think it’s so unbalanced.
Does he even know what system he wants to play, I’m not convinced to be honest.

Pick the same team..but tell the defenders to actually mark the opposition in the area especially on corners, and also do not make stupid substitutions that effects the balance of the team..ie Allen in place of Woods in front of the back four, because he hasn't got the required disapline...he is much to used to the headless chicken role, trying to do everything but achieving nothing with a passing range of five yards !!!!

I'd try and figure a way where he can get Powell, Ince, Duffy, Etebo and Gregory all in the same side with Woods holding.

With this lot I think we have to go 4-2-3-1. If there is a diamond it is the front 4.
Davies
Edwards Baath Collins Ward
Etebo Cousins
Ince. Powell. Duffy Gregory

I'd go 4-2-3-1
Butland Edwards Collins Lindsay Ward Clucas Etebo Ince Powell Verlinden Gregory
I think Jones will set us up the same as he did for Charlton except McClean for Ward.

Duffy Gregory I agree with the formation, but not all the players: Davies Smith Batth Lindsay Clucas Woods(unless we see the miraculous second coming of Ndiaye) Etebo Duffy Powell Ince Gregory

One thing is certain, he's going to go with the diamond again. The big question for me is JOE!
With Etebo coming back, he surely takes the right of midfield. Clucas has been doing OK, and deserves to stay on the left.
Will NJ have the balls to drop a poor-performing Allen and deservedly keep Woods in DM?
There have been lots of rumours over a supposed contractual obligation to pick Joe. If he drops Woods for Joe, then we'd jolly well better play well because with that decision, NJ's slapping his balls right on the guillotine!

I wonder if there’s a chance he’ll go back to using the 3-5-2 version of the diamond we saw at the end of last season? We looked much more solid and more of a threat going forward. ...........Butland.......... ........Collins....Batth...Lyndsey.......... Edwards.............................Ward........ ..............Etebo......Clucas............. ........................Ince..................... ...........Gregory........Hogan........... This might be pedantic but how is this a “version of the diamond”? I’ve never understood this comment. If you have any more or less than 4 in the midfield, it’s not a version of a diamond, it’s just a different shape 🤔

Who would you drop for CCV? Why would you play him when we have no idea what he’s like, unbelievable Tbf he was probably Swansea's best defender last season but I don't think Lindsay and Batth were bad in the last game, it seems a pointless change, we need two of them to form a partnership not just chop and change every week.

Do you really see any of our stringers getting 15-20 in a season? I find it hard to believe we have a team capable of scoring goals to be quite honest. Most games we don't create enough, and even when we create we fail to convert, and we are dodgey at the back. That really doesn't bring any optimism about this new "Jones" team, does it?

No, but formations are described by how they look on paper, and NJ’s system does look like a diamond... a system with three (or five) midfielders doesn’t, and can’t. The shape and dynamic of a 352/532, not to mention the individual player roles, are just completely different. If you take pretty much any formation and swap one position, you make..... a new formation, not just a version of the original one and that’s particularly true of the diamond, which is a really rigid system. Anyway I kind of get what you’re saying, like I say I’m just being pedantic 😅
