Fucking good point.. can't keep blaming luck when we've been so bad for so long. Managers and directors need to take personal responsibility at some point. we didn't get a point today I assume your being ironic?

Ermm 1-3 we are playing them off the park If I was Charlton I'd be over the moon. As a stoke fan, this isn't good enough. This isn't that different than losing to Coventry in the cup. Jones has done nothing to justify his position what so ever. It hugely different, did you watch either of those games?

Seems to me that the reason why they have not given him a big load of cash to spend is that they are seriously concerned about his ability. I think maybe a David Moyes/Sam Allardyce type of manager is whats needed, and a decent spend in January.

No one wants our 2 saleable assets in Butland and Allen and you can see why. If we gave the current manager millions we would be going down the Birmingham route.

If Butland and Allen start on Saturday and he plays this useless fucking diamond then there is no hope in Jones.
We simply have to dig deep and grind out a result, we are spineless at the moment.
In fact has anyone seen any spine in Butland and Allen lately?

I think he'd be better at it than Lampard. He's already made moves to that effect by taking the sensible option of being an assistant first to learn from other peoples mistakes.

Quite frankly enough is enough. His record is abysmal his formations are abysmal playing McClean at LB is abysmal We deserve better He has to go. No one can be of sound mind and want him to stay..3 wins in 23 matches...its a joke MCclean didn't even play you inbred. Not today but he did last week and that's as bad as playing Butland up top or are you agreeing its a good managerial call

He wasn't the right choice for us at this time that was obvious but there's no point sacking him now.
Need to give him a few months unless we really are looking like relegation material.
I'd put money on Hughton being next manager if he does get fired.

Now is not the time to sack Jones after he has had all summer to bring in his players and train the team for his style of play. Give the man a chance!

Ok if not sacking him is the answer then what is the right way forward for our club Can't keep sacking managers Blame the board because their recruitment of managers since Hughes has been a total disgrace. We may as well have kept Lambert though, I'm sure he'd have been better than these last 2 given time.

In response to the thread title I think, personally, that he should be given another few games although the form we've exhibited since he arrived simply cannot be allowed to last too long. Give him till the bank holiday that's four games against championship opponents no wins and he is gone.

I really don’t know where I sit on this one. I don’t want him gone yet, that’d be mental but the alarm can’t be far off sounding in the boardroom.
It’s so difficult. On the one hand I want to say stick with what we did today and we’ll end up winning more than we’ll lose but we’re in that much of a rut, that could well be another few games, by which point we’re all panicking that our season is fucked already. There are plenty more points to claw back and it’d be stupid to suggest we can’t still do something, but there’s still something clearly not right.
It’s a horrible cycle we’re in. Playing well and losing is as bad as it gets for confidence. The players are quite clearly committed but we are so weak it’s frightening. Crumbling at teams like Charlton is unforgivable, really. There are much, much sterner tests to face than the two we’ve already faced and lost.
I want to think positively and tell everyone to hold their nerve whilst we work this out but I’m not confident it can be done. I don’t know if a change in manager would have any effect but I still maintain this squad is one of the best in the league.
Fuck knows, basically. How long do you give it?

You knicker wetting bastards need to get real. That’s the best we’ve played for many, many months if our Strikers could hit a barn door we’d have been out of sight after 50 minutes. Today’s result was probably the least Jones fault out of all the games he’s had in charge. and we get 0 points and we have won 3 games out of 23 with him...ffs look at his record
