he was good for six months Not true, and you know it. Even if it was, he had more memorable moments in that timeframe than this sorry arsed bunch of dickheads we’re lumbered with now will come up with in an entire lifetime. ok five years at the club .first six months on fire . injured twelve back a few months on loan for two then back and was played a few games then dropped . Even though he could play around the midfield. What a pleasure

I cant help but feel we pretty much ruined his career, crocking him in a meaningless cup tie played on a pub car park of a pitch against a bunch of absolute no marks. One thing I know for sure though is, that he was an absolute gentleman from first day to last..... I will leave you with one last thought . Stoke city have a place in the first eleven for James Maclean as Bojan Krkic is released. GO FIGURE.

Oh for heaven's sake! Are you seriously complaining because the club didn't use the word you would have used in their farewell to Bojan comment. What would you have preferred? "....thank Bojan for his goals."? Oh wait, that doesn't work very well. Are there so few things to complain about that now we've taken to taking offense and wordsmithing Club statements? It’s a crap, lazy, half-arsed statement to say farewell to a firm fan favourite, it would have took no longer to post a decent statement along with a video collage of some of his best moments, moments that are ingrained in our memories. It’s yet more poor fan interaction from our diabolically ran club. Thanks for your efforts, but I still think it's nitpicking. The club have reason to feel aggrieved also. They have had an employee that was brought to the company at a cost, was paid excellent wages and ultimately failed to deliver the required quality/quantity of services. They haven't asked for their money back, but at the end of the day, they have fired an employee and said, "thanks for your efforts" and have left out "but we're firing you because they weren't good enough". Why make a highlights package? So the uninformed can look at them and complain about how Stoke messed up by letting him go? Have you seen the highlights package of Brek Shea? Anyone would think he was George Best, Marradonna, Messi and Ronaldo all rolled into one! Enjoy your memories, rewatch them on youtube a million times, set up a shrine in your bedroom, or whatever floats your boat, but to suggest that when Stoke "fire" someone, they should make out that we have lost the greatest thing since sliced bread is just plain silly.

I haven't 'bought into' the Bojan (or McClean) argument(s) until now, but I agree wholeheartedly with this post.
It was an absolute pleasure to have seen him play in a Stoke shirt.
I wish him all the best

You’re completely missing the point, whether accidentally or on purpose I’m not sure. Bojan was loved by the vast majority of our fan base, he was immensely popular with the younger stoke fans as well. Pretty sure “mutual consent” doesn’t mean firing, I’m pretty sure that equates to a resignation. The club, specifically the manager barefaced lied to Bojan, “he’s firmly in my plans”, blowing smoke up our arses that he’s made a worrying habit out of. The fact is that when we look back on our time in the Premier League, because let’s face it we won’t be back there for a very, very long time, we will remember this little gem picking Arsenal, Manchester City and United apart, we’ll remember Shaqiri’s lob against Everton, we’ll remember Arnautovic giving defenders night terrors, we’ll remember Fullers goal, we’ll remember moments like this, we as fans associate these good moments with the players that provided them, the general reaction across social media today about this decision tells you the entire story, it’s toss from the club, toss, we’re not asking for a shrine or a statue to be made, just a simple acknowledgement for the great moments he provided. Now we’re stuck watching the likes of Joe Allen & James McClean and their attempts at impersonating a footballer. None of the players in our squad are exciting, none of them are characters, none of them have anything about them whatsoever, they’re a collection of bang average also-rans, journeymen and mercenaries. For many Bojan was our last reminder of a fondly remembered era, now it’s gone and we’re left with the saloon door swinging and a tumbleweed tumbling across the front garden.

I hate the club so much. Why have such successful business owners allowed low IQ staff and managers to take us apart. Literally had all the best meat picked off and we're left with rotting veiny clumps off crap.
I really hope we have a stinking run and crumble and we can drive Jones back to non league , I don't care how we do for the foreseeable as the football is turgid and the club itself are crap. Facilities, staff, team, CRAP. We will never rebuild what we had

Then M left, followed by X. B was always probably the lightest weight of the three. I just don't get the love-fest that goes on and on and on for a brief patch that happened almost 3 and a half years ago.

Your last 3 paragraphs I agree with 100%. The rest, let's just agree to differ. When Someone is released after a sterling career (Ala Steven Gerrard), they deserve accolades. When someone (despite short periods of brilliance) couldn't make a spot their own after being given dozens of opportunities, in my book, "thank you for your efforts" is pretty much all they deserve. As for social media reaction, just because twits tweet about something, doesn't make it true. On any given day you will find social media surges supporting polar opposite points of view. Just look at this messageboard for a microcosm of the phenomenon. Reminds me of an old saying, "empty cans make the most noise".

Why does the myth that Bojan was no good after the Rochdale injury persist? Hughes dropped Bojan when we had a few injuries and it seemed to be downhill from there. With hindsight, maybe Hughes would've done things differently and we'd still be in the Premier League with Bojan as an all-time Stoke City great instead of just a great player who played great for us for a relatively short time.
Although it was inevitable, I'm pretty sad about Bojan leaving, but it's dragged on for too long and is probably best for the club, fans and player. It's sad he didn't get a run in the team last year, but none of us know anything about circumstances behind the scenes.
I hope he finds success elsewhere.

It was reported a few weeks ago he’s basically agreed to not be paid so he can just leave. That was how sick of us he was. He’s not been ‘fired’. Do you not think it’s odd that. Bojan is the only one this has happened to? It’s because he said he was happy not to be paid.

The reason he played if I recall was he was in n out. However he ws brilliant that night and from then until Rochdale as good as I've seen After that he had a good spell here n there

Stoke city have a place in the first eleven for James Maclean as Bojan Krkic is released. GO FIGURE. I haven't asked Boj for his opinion but I'm pretty sure he wanted to play in that Rochdale game. He wanted to see first hand what the great FA cup was all about, and that included going to the smaller grounds. Contrast that to many another player and manager these days who can hardly be bothered turning up for an FA cup game. In retrospect someone might have whispered in his ear that it wasn't such a good idea in view of the poor condition of the Spotland pitch, but it was just an unfortunate accident. Well regarding your final thought, I'm not sure Bojan would have been a better left back than McClean...
