Oh, you think Jarvis is the best prospect? My bad. No I didn't say that and was wondering who would be the first to suggest it. He's my favourite. I think others are better and more likely to make it. But if I had to pay to watch one of them, it'd be Jarvis. He just plays the game how I think it should be played. Ahh okay. I got exciting by your possible back training on Verlinden thus causing me to lose my shit momentarily.

What's your view on his best position? Chalk on his boots winger never allowed to be anywhere else, I've already had this out with him I agree Verlinden is an out and out winger but was on about Jarvis (not the guy from Pulp either) I've noticed your mind is elsewhere since I started talking about 3 somes on narrowboats

Thought Verlinden was the stand out. Both Jarvis and Sorensen lack a burst of speed, which will hamper them and probably restrict the level they end up at. Both tidy footballers though. Zidane hoddle Hudson pirlo Scholes... the list of superb footballers who virtually walked through the 90 mins is endless.....quality is quality..... speed counts for fuck all if your shite...... ala tony kelly.....we had that ex postman yrs ago who was the fastest in the league..... he was gash too..... if speed was the benchmark for quality..... we could put 2 greyhounds in a strip.

You still need that bit of speed though, even if you're not Linford Christie. Even against Tranmere, both Jarvis and Sorensen were getting caught on the ball because they weren't quick enough upstairs or downstairs and not strong enough either when they were caught. It isn't as simple as reeling off a list of slow world class players as a benchmark or argument for slow players because the two lads we're talking about aren't at that level. They're trying to get into a Championship team where you need a bit extra to stand up and stand out, because of the make up of the league. They're both tidy footballers and it's a bit like the pace argument, you need a bit more than that.

I would imagine neither will make the bench come the match day squad when the league starts. They are maybe a cut above U23's so leaves them in a dilemma as how to progress their careers moving forward.

Theyr both kids.... theyd both be fine when theyv filled out a bit. Tho i dont think Sorensen is good enough..... and by telling me that a list of world class players without pace requires more for that argument..... thats a contradiction in itself :-). Usain bolt is pretty quick. But as he proved..... he plays football like hes wearing snow shoes

What's your view on his best position? He's an attacking midfielder for me so central and in between the lines. Getting the ball on the half turn and then using it from there. Can play out wide though too. Very tidy player i thought, there were quite a few round me asking who he was,he certainly stood out.Was refreshing to see a player always looking forward.

I watched Jarvis in the warm up at half time and he looked head and shoulders above everyone technically - genuinely, no word of a lie. Some of his finishing drills were outrageous for a young lad.

He's 21. It's make or break this season surely.
Anyone know what's happening with Shenton this Season?

Well not a move I’d expected, he’s a tidy footballer and could have done better than Wrexham?
Saying that, I wish the lad well, hope he goes on to have a successful career.

He’s going to have to. Just a shame they didn’t think giving Jarvis a chance was a good idea though. But we’ve handled him terribly. He should have been out on loan years ago.
