58 to 60 points for stoke as things stand don’t care about the rest , could be upgraded if we sign the likes of Gayle and decent midfield anchor

Think Blackburn could do better and more than often a surprise team. Swansea I think could challenge.

Anything other than promotion or play offs is complete failure. Fundamentally disagree , 4 years of continued spiralling trajectory , needs arresting first , to expect more is candidly unrealistic .

He's been backed to the hilt - 9 new footballers since he arrived and two more on the way. Has to deliver a good season in a piss poor league. People should stop making excuses.

Haven’t got a clue. Not a team in the league that you could say were really good. If we can’t put on some sort of promotion push it’s a poor effort.

I suspect we'll finish 8th-12th, I don't feel the signings will provide enough benefit to deliver the extra 20 points needed.
1. Cardiff 2. Fulham 3. Bristol City 4. Luton 5. Leeds 6. Brentford

Anything other than promotion or play offs is complete failure. I kind of agree with this statement, not because I believe our players or setup is good enough but because we've decided to bomb squad a group of players and not focus on developing our youth. If we know we're not getting promoted would it have been better to play the idiots that we're already paying, who knows we may even get a buyer for one of them and give game time to some of our youngsters?

Play offs, I'm absolutely convinced with glass overflowing confidence. The OP's general order of positions will not be far off the mark, just a bit of shuffling.

I have no feelings about how we’re going to do this season other than I’d be massively surprised if we’re scrapping at the bottom. Bit like I felt before 07/08 I reckon.

I just want to see us in the mix come the end of the season, at the right end of course. This sums me up to, if we can make a late tilt into the play offs I’ll be happy. The last 2 years have shown that you need to be the form team going into the playoffs, so I’d prefer to hit it late with a good run of 8+wins and a couple of draws

Backed to the hilt , desire to yes capability to due to FFP categorically not , he’s here because he would accept the situation where the big guns would not , do you honestly believe his top shopping list was a bunch of frees and division 1 players with fees for smith and Lyndsey , he is playing the hand he was dealt which is fair enough, but let’s not pretend he is being backed in the way pulis , hughes and Rowett were . if we were to go for broke in the next two weeks fair enough but right now he is out front and centre with a right assortment of bargain buckets , which is not a situation of his making accountability for that should be shared , but I agree with one of your previous posts it’s highly unlikely to be so.Exactly why this time we have to stick with him come What May , everybody else in senior executive paid roles at the club pre him is a serial sustained failure in role and contributor to the mess .

Norwich were 10th favourites and Sheff Utd 13th last season (https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/championship-title-promotion-odds-plus-13021313) Am just backing Bilic at WBA to have the nouse to get Zahore scoring and add 1-2 other good signings or loans before the window shuts, given his connections. He'll know they have to replace Gayle and Rodriguez - and they wouldn't have appointed Bilic without the intent to spend some money.

We have a new manager who struggled at this level last year, his stats were bad(and that is being kind), we struggled to score let alone win a match under him and we will be starting with a very different team(starting eleven) which at best will take time to gel. He was not quite averaging a point a game last year with the squad of players he had at is disposal and on the face of it we do not seem to have improved that squad significantly in terms of quality. We have no idea if those players will make any difference and so it will be hard to tell just how we will do. My guess is that we will not hit the ground running(with so many changes) and the manager will be under pressure from the start. I am then hoping he can start to get things going by Christmas and we can start to see some signs and take it from there. Think we will score somewhere between 40 to 60 points, but no way of telling. For me, 60pts would be a good return, but it could easily go the other way based on our manager's stats from last year and his lack of any experience at this level - that is something that we don't really want to think about that. Not sure whether us Stokies are good owd optimists or just plain crazy when it comes to these pre-season predictions, but would be interested to hear why you think we can go from 3 wins in 1 half of a season from a manager, as stated, who struggled to field a team that could score, to winning the 27 games we will need to win to stick a chance of winning the division - please tell

Brentford to go up automatically, then ourselves, Fulham and West Brom to fight from 2nd-4th. Cardiff and Leeds to make up the playoffs.
Barnsley have been decimated, they will drop. Swansea to struggle massively. Two of them, Charlton, Luton, Reading and Birmingham to join them in League 1.

NO one stands out, we have to deliver the last of the parachute payments and a manager who has been given a whole transfer window and preseason. This time no excuses, fed up of hearing the reason we couldn't do this or that. You had your time and that includes from top to bottom now show some desire, passion and results. If we fail again this time i think a few people are going to get very frustrated.

Anything other than promotion or play offs is complete failure. Didn’t we all (including Mr Coates) say that this time last season? Yes and it was abject failure and the manager got the bullet. Expect the same this time if it doesn't go to plan.
