Depends, but if the weather is reasonably sunny I am planning a loop from Great Langdale either up Crinkle Crags & Bow Fell and back via Esk Pike or if it is really clear than Scafell Pike and back via Bow Fell. I am now a fine weather walker. I don't like my glasses misting up and if I am getting up on the top I want to be able to "stop and admire the scenery" i.e. I am getting old and like a good excuse to stop and have a rest! Sounds great. I know what you mean about glasses steaming up. It can be hot as well as hard work going up a hill. Good luck with the weather for tomorrow.

I believe Warner has now recorded the lowest Aggregate score for an opener in Test History across a 5 match series.

Leach showing what a good bowler he is when there’s runs on the board to bowl with.
Curran looking very good too.

I reckon Curran will be the one to get Smith. Although surprisingly it's Woakes who has got him 3 times so far considering how little he's bowled.

Woakes with the sin of getting a wicket with a no ball. Oh, it does infuriate me.

Woakes with the sin of getting a wicket with a no ball. Oh, it does infuriate me. His 1st given no ball in test cricket. In over 5000 balls

167 for 5 and Smith out - hopefully we've got them now? I know they've retained the Ashes, but 2-2 wouldn't be shabby at the end of a great series with no Jimmy and the World Cup won.

They'll fold as soon as Wade goes but I wish they'd hurry up. There's something about him which is extremely annoying.

I know mate - think Wade and Lyon were voted the two biggest gobshites - by their own team mates?!

I think we're going to need the new ball tbh. The way we leak runs so quickly gets right on my tits.

More poor captaincy from Root, why would you not have a second slip to a number 9?

Moving forward have we found an opener in Burns? Denley to get another go?

Moving forward have we found an opener in Burns? Denley to get another go? Baring in mind how difficult it's been to open against this bowling attack, I think Burns looks very promising? Denley probably deserves another go based on his runs in the last two tests - he does look iffy though?

Thought this series was the best in terms of entertainment for a long time. Australia just about deserve to take the urn home but that’s down to Steve Smith alone. It’s been a great summer of cricket.

Moving forward have we found an opener in Burns? Denley to get another go? After Ireland I was more or less done with him, but I actually think he’s been very unlucky to not make some more scores this summer. He looks to bat time which is the first thing an opener should try and do.

Great summer of cricket, gutted its come to an end. Disappointed not to win the main prize but we've come a very credible runner up by default which is especially rewarding considering Australia were spanking us in some parts but we kept hanging on in there and fighting back. That Headingly game will live long in the memory. Awesome match and such an unexpected turnaround and sporting feat.
2x evenly matched great enemies and as others have said Steve Smith was the only player that was the difference and realistically prevented us claiming the Ashes.
Still at least we won the World Cup & finished the Ashes respectably..

Well the curtain has come down on what was an absolutely incredible Summer of cricket. The Pakistan ODI series which started things off seems like an absolute eternity ago.
Disappointed not to have regained the Ashes but ask any England fan at the beginning of the Summer if they’d have taken winning the World Cup and drawing the Ashes series they’d have bitten your hand off.
Sitting here getting a bit emotional watching Beefy and Gower say their goodbyes. Watching the cricket just won’t be the same without them.

The Ashes series ends on a high, but I can’t help feeling disappointment about how the series went. While we didn’t lose the series, we failed to regain the Ashes.
That said there were some highlights...
We have finally got a proper quick bowler and a proper spinner.
Broad was a Trojan throughout raising his game consistently in the absence of Anderson
We seem to have found an opener - at least Burns has done enough to secure his place based on performance
Stokes is a wonderful talent emerging at last from the cloud of his court case
But there were lowlights
Our batting is still well below par. Surgery is still required. An improved performance in the last test does not mask the shambles at other times. Denly still needs to go, we can only have one of either Bairstow or Buttler (my preference is keeping the latter as he has less technical faults).
Our back up seam bowling didn’t perform to a good enough standard - Woakes was a huge disappointment, Stokes is a 4th seamer as is Curran. Why Overton was picked is a mystery.
Root is not a good captain.
The big worry I have coming out of this series is that if we had lost rather than drawn we would have been more inclined to make the changes we need to make. Now, I think we’ll continue pretty much as we are. So no Sibley of Foakes for example.
