“Under Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership, antisemitism has become mainstream in the Labour party. Jewish members have been bullied, abused and driven out. Antisemites have felt comfortable and vile conspiracy theories have been propagated. A party that permits anti-Jewish racism to flourish cannot be called anti-racist.” “The overwhelming majority of the Jewish community is fearful of what a Corbyn government might mean for Britain’s Jews. I share those concerns. But this issue is not simply about the Jewish community. This is about the nature of our society. Jeremy Corbyn’s seeming tolerance of antisemitism would embolden racists, poison our public debate and damage the social cohesion of our country." Dame Louise Ellman.Prestwich and Momo - 'Fuck all to do with anti-semitism' ........... 'Jumped before she was pushed. Good riddance' We could do around in circles on this, I know plenty for Jewish people who are angry by the fact they are being used as a stick to beat Corbyn with, I also know plenty who wouldn’t give Corbyn the steam off their piss. Their is no homogenous “Jewish Community” it’s just patronising bollocks. The likes of the Jewish Chronicle and the Board of Deputies claim to speak for all Jews which is simply horse shit.....

Perhaps she sees that as part of the direction of travel, as part of the big picture..... so she decides to make her point.... that this has happened under Corbyn. Why is she under threat of deselection? ( I'm not particularly trying to defend her....but like Field, a long serving loyal Labour MP... seems like things have changed in the Liverpool area .. perhaps reminiscent of Derek Hatton?) Perhaps. But like Margaret Hodge she’s gone from calling Corbyn “a good guy” a few years ago to a raging anti-Semite for the last 30 years. I’ve said it many times, there is a clear correlation between Corbyn’s stance on Israel/Palestine and the likes of Ellman, Berger, Smeeth (Jewish), Ryan, Streeting, Watson (not Jewish) who are part of the Labour Friends of Israel and who seem to put the needs of lobbyists over the needs of their constituencies. Some will use it as a stick simply to beat him with as they just want him gone, simple as that. The usual suspects will call me an anti-Semite for saying so, but it’s less about antisemitism and more about overthrowing Corbyn. They actually demean the real fight against antisemitism with some of the shite they come out with..... Perhaps.....but irrespective of the anti Semite/ Zionist issue ( not to devalue it) Labour seems to have lost its focus from its traditional base.....and this is what George is saying....and I believe that he is correct.....I joined Labour st the time of Hatton....and it seemed like an oppressive cult, not really welcoming debate just conformity to predetermined issues. Labour has lost its identity and its way. Imho.

Yep. A clear case of jumping before she was pushed. An act of self preservation and nothing to do with anti-Semitism. Jess and Ruth seem to think differently. Are they being deselected (yet)? Jess Phillips putting herself in the middle of a story no way Even a broken (cuckoo) clock is right twice a day though be interesting when the EHCR eventually rules can only be one outcome....

Labour has lost its identity and its way. Imho. Labour are split down the middle on Brexit, split down the middle between “Corbynites” and “Blairites” They could be decimated in the next GE I make no bones about that. And then the neoliberal warmongers will get back hold of the party and all live in centrist heaven. But Corbyn and his advisors will need to take responsibility ultimately, they should have pushed for a genuine deal to leave the EU and not leant towards remaining which will see them wiped out in their heartlands.....

Corbyn's team doesn't seem very good either ,in terms of representing the working class. Perhaps not fair to pick on Lammy ....i don't know how his expenses compare to other MPs .... but this is a lot of money for expenses, let alone his salary. £1.35m

So definitely not fair to pick on Lammy. But what does Gorgeous George know about fairness.

Agree, in fact most of the London MP's on the list had similar costs as I'm guessing they all have the same/similar amount of staff/rental charges etc.....

Corbyn could go up up loads in the polls if he whipped his MPs into voting with the government for a brexit that’s looking inevitable. It would stop a No Deal

Because Lammy went to brussels and galloway is almost as hard a brexiter as Corbyn, whether he knows or cares about the truth of the allegations hard to say but most of the tinfoliers who follow him wont care.

Fuckiing mate he's not running General Motors. How much does a small office and a couple of secretaries cost I bet about 60-80 grand in London. So that's 50% of his costs straight away.

Only in this country could it take almost FOUR F@@@@ g YEARS to get to this situation, too many “politicians” with large ego’s putting the skids on at every turn, we need a vote to determine if we need a vote to vote on a vote, wouldn’t piss on any of them if they were on fire

It would stop a No Deal Corbyn won't go up loads in the polls if he whips his MPs to vote for this deal but he has a duty, along with all the other MPs, to vote for it.
