I was really struggling last season to LIKE many of our players.
Who do you think is going to become a fans favourite next season?
I like the sound of this Lee Gregory fellow, the Millwall fans loved him for his workrate. Possibly the next SJW?
Also Nick Powell could be entertaining on and off the field.
I just hope we have a team we can get behind and start to love again. We arent getting promotion but I do hope we get some players we love to watch

To be honest I wasnt a Jonny Walters fanboy, but I think we need some blood and thunder up top to get the fans onside If he’s used sparingly I think I’ll like him. If he’s used like Walters then I won’t. Powell if he plays well is way more my cup of tea. I think Ward will be ok too. Barring Cousins, I think they’re all ok but just none seem to solve anything much.

Pretty sure everyone will love Cousins too I think Cousins is the most interesting signing, Jones has certainly bigged him up and he is the player who is pretty central to making the diamond work. I'd love to see him do well here.

After the last two years, I’d settle for any of them being not objectionable

This is the Oatcake. It doesn't do "likeable" - it's either vitriolic contempt or gushing man-crush.

anyone who can pass more than one ball to a fellow Stoke player, anyone who doesn't pass back to the keepewr from the halfway line and anyone who has a shot at goal.

I think Gregory will be a massive hit with Stoke fans. I think he'll totally split opinion. He's a marmite player, some will absolutely love him because he'll run his bollocks off and others will hate him because essentially he's a lower league player.

Powell scores goals, gets assists, is a bit of a shithouse and apparently hates Stoke. Guaranteed entertainment.
Gregory is going to be one of those you admire, just a decent bloke who gives everything.

The one who entertains us pretty much every week, plays out of his skin and plays for the shirt. The one who gets us out of our seats and makes the matchday experience worthwhile.
Hopefully we will sign him pretty soon.

According to wiki Ryan has the 8th most appearances in our entire history. Looking at the dates (again on wiki) but a player comes round every couple of decades and with the current trend it could be argued that these are even rarer.
He could overtake Foxy and move to 6h this season and put himself in with a chance of getting into the top 3. I suspect this season will achieve very little other than run down the bomb squads contracts and add to Ryan's overall Stoke City contribution. I will try to spend the season ignoring the first benefit and focus on the second.
