Sankoh, quite rightly, is generating excitement however I think this guy is worth a look (even from the bench) for last couple of games once we are safe. Decent loan required for him next season - something we have a mixed record,Owen should be all over it -

4-1 now
Game over
Give Kyre a go in the squad if we're safe with time to spare, he seems to have a goalscoring knack...

How good is Gabriel Kyeremateng? Is he anywhere near ready? I remember when he joined he hadn't scored a goal for Dortmund at that age group (IIRC) but seems to have improved and progressed really well here.
Anyone watch him regularly on here? What type of striker is he?

Isn't it odd that, when the first team has been a basket case for long periods in the past 3 years, the U18 and U23 squads seem to be as good as they have been for years?
Hopefully a reasonable number of the youngsters go on to make the grade. If they do, then the future of the club may be brighter than it has looked for most of the time since relegation given our poor form and well publicised FFP problems.

It's the turn of the Under 15's tonight and although the snow is falling they have just taken the lead 1-0.

It is as it’s a paradox to the first team but actually it’s about right when you think about the catch up we needed and the timeframe of the academy being funded properly. Its right on track I’d imagine.

Mobile, poacher, good to watch. How far off is he? I think people are going ott here. He needs a loan first. Who’d want him? Maybe league 2 if we’re very very lucky. He’s 20 now and this is his first season of doing anything. Which is great but he was bought in as a filler and I can’t see past that tbh.

THe Belgian youth Godfrinne must surely be considered more exciting, he's 17 and often gets overlooked because Sankoh is so prolific (11 in his last 10 games), but Godfrinne has 9 goals in 11 and seems to be OK with the step up to the higher age group as his goal today would indicate.

These are exactly my thoughts too. And we’re forgetting Varion and Jennings too who I think are better as well.

Let's hope this batch are more along the lines of Marsh, Pejic, Smith and Bloor...what a crop that was!!! Fingers crossed and thanks for all the updates.

Stoke City Under15 played Blackburn last night in the QF of the Cup and ran out worthy winners 3-1 in horrendous conditions. Let's hope it's an omen! Well done!.

Even the most optimistic predictions would find it difficult to see more than another four graduates make the grade following Collins, Campbell and Verlinden. I'm not counting N'Goy as I don't think he's in the running, but in the next couple of years, another four pushing for the First Team would be pretty good wouldn't it?

Bursik and/or Broome should be considered too. I'd use Souttar over Batth too. And there's nothing our midfield do that don't make me think Lasse Sorensen would be better given the chance.
