Thanks, how is the location of the final decided? Is it at a neutral ground between stoke and manchester? First out of the hat is the home team. If we are at home would probably move to the Bet365. Citeh would probably play at their Academy ground next to the main stadium. Their 18's are mentors to their u7's so if it's at man city, the 7s will walk out with their mentors. My youngest will be one of them so I hope we are away

Excellent report on the U18 win over Chelsea below. Sad that a game played at Stoke sees the Chelsea Report up first. But, to be fair, it is a good report. The worry is that the Chelsea reporter comments on Sankoh's youth as well as his quality. link

Great effort by the u18s. Man city in the final. Given the dirge our first team dishes up we could do worse than give the youngsters our full support.
Wonder where the final will be. ?

Looks like it’ll be the Brit or the Man City academy stadium. Well I’d hope we’d have it at the Brit tbh. As it says above, it’s done on who comes out of the hat first 👍

Tough game for the u23s tonight, going up against league leaders West ham who are undefeated in 16 league games.

Its a little bit weird watching a Stoke team that looks so much quicker, stronger, more skilful and more 'up for it' than the opposition

Made it to the second half tonight for the U23's at West Ham, really gutsy performance, and really quite dominant, cracking fight back to get level and were pushing for a winner Gabriel Kyeremateng, Ash Kigbu, Corrigan, Pemberton and Lasse Sorenson played some really lovely stuff on and off the ball, all of them could be pushing for a place on the bench with first team IMHO. UTMP!

On another point - I know that Mo Sankoh is only a youngster but I wonder how close he is to at least making the bench for the U23s. He looks to be such a prospect that a few minutes of U23 football from time to time could only be good for his development.

...though looking back at those highlights, we did look a little ragged at the back at times, maybe the beer clouded my judgement . Highlights don't really convey how good they were second half, Corrigan really stood out too.

Does anyone know when the draw is for the home team? Trying to find information on it is difficult!

The U23 system hasn't been going for that long, has it? Sankoh must be close to being the youngest Stoke player to have played that number of times for the U23s. I'm quite excited about his prospects. Providing, of course, that we manage to tie him down to a decent length pro contract as soon as he is old enough to sign one.

Pemberton always looks progressive when I watch him with pace to burn. Is he first team material yet?
