Good to see Starmer attending and leading at the world conference. www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cly0gzxgzrmtRegrettably the conference is poorly attended by many world leaders. Is it because they are politicians and don't want to tell people the bad news, just hope it goes away, or kick the can down the road for the next government to face up to? UK performance on climate change is barely on track to meet targets, but apparently the UK is not giving enough to poorer countries to help them get on track. climateactiontracker.org/countries/uk/#:~:text=We%20rate%20the%20UK's%202030,compared%20to%20modelled%20domestic%20pathways. At least the Taliban turned up.

You do have to wonder how many Valencia type incidents, droughts, wildfires etc will need to take place before leaders take anything like decisive action. Although unless these things start affecting all nations consistently, it'll always just be someone else's problem, so nothing impactful will actually cone about. Until it's too late maybe.
