Both my children came to visit me. I saw very little of them. I spent most of the day in A&E with my 90 year old father, who had fallen, Oh, goodness..... hope your dad is okay now, Flash? xxx I hope they were able to give him some priority - how long were you stuck in A&E? About 7 hours. He is very poorly.

We'll have to swop families š Wait till Fel finds out they'd cloned his Credit Card, Wiz. Quote by both of them: "Yessssssssssssssssssss". I'm quite pleased with them at the moment. They got back from a week in Canada two weeks ago on the Wednesday. She worked in Preston the following day, Leeds the following day then a half day in Manchester on the Saturday. He went straight into work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday not bad for a student with jet lag. He's had two days off in two weeks. It's his day off today, he's gardening

I was left in complete shock...ā¦ "We're paying for this" We'll have to swop families š You could have had him with pleasure when he was around the age of 13, she's always been practically perfect in every way

Ended up in Sat Comms spending his time mainly in Cyprus & Gibraltar. All right for some. š

No restaurant or cafe today so it's out for a picnic. My daughter's baked an appetising coffee and walnut cake that's sitting invitingly here on the work surface Hopefully this possible afternoon rain won't materialise.

Great chat with my Dad this morning, he's spending the day in his workshop making a steam engine (he's 93) haven't heard a thing from my son in Reading but nothing new there we're in touch regularly. Telly, walk on the beach and a Kebab for tea. Not a bad take away for a one horse town like this.

Quiet day for me as my Dad was beaten to death by my Mum
She died a couple of years before him

Mrs Q & I don't have any kids so I wasn't expecting anything. But I got a card from the doggies, a giant tube (stick? prism?) of toblerone and a bottle of port. Clever little bu99ers they are. They can open cupboard doors, jars & bottles (all without leaving any evidence of teeth marks) but I never knew they could work a credit card.
Today I have a hangover from the port and no skin on the roof of my mouth thanks to the giant toblerone chunks. It was worth it, though.
P.S. the bl00dy fish didn't get me anything. Ungrateful sods.
Update 12 months on - the hound got me a new pair of steel toe-capped boots. Very nice. They've taken less skin off the roof of my mouth than the toblerone did. No incohol this year thanks to another flipping kidney stone.
And the fish once again failed to get me anything. That's it, they've had their last chance. Dear Multicoloured Swap Shop, I'd like to swap two tanks of ungrateful fish for a trouble-free kidney and a signed photo of Madeleine Smith.

For new or casual lookers-in who are not too familiar with Oatie history, Chuff's papa, who is quite possibly SCFC's most senior supporter, fell off the shed roof and did himself a nasty about 18 months ago after climbing up there to repair some damage done by gale-force winds. We've all been trying to keep him on terra firma ever since.

Ā As far as I can tell murph he's put the ladders, lanyards and climbing gear away for the time being concentrating on the model making that's not to say he won't try other stunts š³. When people are allowed back in the Brit again I think I'll get in touch with the powers that be and see if he can watch a game from a comfortable seat so to speak. It's a bit breezy for him in Q Railing.

By the way, with his history of supporting the club they should give him the best seat in the place as a permanent present.

His idea of a day out was to cycle from Norton to Porthmadog and back in a day. Stood him well. He started going to games with his dad in the 30's.

Ive got this all wrong here, Iām popping into Stoke later today and actually have a present for my son, along with a few bits and bobs for their baby when he/she arrives.
Heāll 100% not realise itās Fatherās Day and if his mum drops a few subtle hints itāll be āitās a made up day anywayā.
Luckily enough Iāve still got my dad, horrendously he hasnāt got a clue who I am due to Alzheimerās, perhaps when Boris and co finish making a mess of Covid they can pour billions into other diseases that affect families.
