If Bilic improves them as much as Hughes did us initially they will be promoted. "a bit of a bounce" try 4 seasons of improvement. He will be inheriting a club that made the play offs this season, with a couple of decent signings he may well take them up, Hughes inherited a solid if not inspiring squad from Pulis got a few signings correct, then disassembled the backbone and characteristics required and replaced them with absolute shit, he was here at least 18 months to long.

You could say it had taken him 4 years to unstrip a decades worth of good work at the cost of a decade to put it right. Nice work, mark

Undecided on Bilic, he seems to lose interest pretty quickly.

Did it end poorly at Croatia and Beşiktaş?
He was regarded as one of the best attacking coaches around before his stint there. Not many managers come out of West ham with their reputation intact with the possible exception of Allardyce. Decent club but basket case owners can make life difficult.

If we'd have appointed him instead of Rowett we wouldn't have Jones and we'd have been in the play-offs I reckon.
I wouldn't swap Jones now he is here and think the project route is the right route to go down now but I reckon Bilic in the Championship, away from the nonsense and the nonsense of West Ham will be a different animal. Technically and tactically you'd expect him to be a cut above.
He seems a good bloke too.

On the face of it he seems an excellent appointment.
Hope he fails miserably.

He always looks like a man under severe stress even when things are going well...

Poor appointment for them; it won't end well. Hoping hes a busted flush Cue signings of Gayle, Ritchie and more and romping the league! I mean they apparently can’t afford Gayle but you could see them doing well for a season and him being successful.
