I think if we were to have signed Delap we would have done so by now
Still think O’Neil will sign another striker though, plus a midfielder and possibly a player that can play either full back

As much as I think he is a great prospect, it's dragging on now, they either loan him, or keep him.

Not anymore mate, it’s back to normal since clubs and stuff have opened up, not only giving stories out now, I’m promoting Nando’s Nando's is bollocks anyway. "Yeah, we're a restaurant and employ waiting staff but sorry pal, you're going to have to do everything yourself bar cook the mediocre chicken". Those peas they do are proper gay as well. Get a new job mate - fuck those South African chicken shysters right off 👍 I don't mind getting some sauce or cutlery myself but when the fuckers add a 10% service charge to the bill and I've basically done their jobs for them it does reek of taking the piss...

I remember seeing a young lad playing left wing for England u21, Ryan Wilson he was called. Then he changed his name to Giggs and went to play for Wales. I can't remember the story of why he changed his name... Wasn’t it something to do about his dad? Changed his name and nation allegiance in favour of his mother’s side to spite his shithouse of a dad Was thinking same thing and didn't know if I'd remembered it right. Sad really. Was wishing I'd thought of a more cheerful example... then i thought of that lad from Burslem who played for Trinidad in the world cup cos he was born there when his mum was on holiday. Then i remembered he played for Port Vale. Fuck I think I'd best be quiet and just read other people's posts for a bit lol

He was born in Wales, both of his parents were Welsh and he played for England school boys because he was at school in England after the family moved to England where his father was a Rugby League professional. It would be good if the story was true but unfortunately it isn't.

This transaction appears to be dependant on Manchester City securing Harry Kane as their number 10.
I suspect that this will be completed early next week, paving the way for Liam Delap to be loaned to a Championship Club.
I'm sure both Brian Barry-Murphy and Liam would prefer a direct path to the first team, as was the case with Phil Foden. However, if it is not possible due to the arrival of Harry Kane, they would both prefer Stoke City as the loan option, assuming a condition of a minimum number of guaranteed appearances.

I remember thinking, how come he only plays for Port Vale lol

Local BBC guy from Bournemouth
All the talk now seems to have switched to Delap staying at Man City, at least 'til January although suppose it may change if Kane turns up?)
Wonder which other strikers may be on our list? (or will we think Brown, Surridge and Fletcher is enough, with the prospect of Campbell back in the autumn?)

Maybe Citeh feel his injury needs closely monitoring and there won't be much point of sending him out on loan until January due to his fitness anyway?

To all intents and purposes it looks like Man City are getting Kane
I’m still confident. Would take the pressure off Campbell too as he continues his recovery

The Kane thing is going to go to the wire you'd think, if it happens at all.

Depends if we have assurances from City that if he does move, he will move to us..if thst is not the case, I would pursue others, if we have other targets.

It’s not as if we’re not scoring goals and we have Campbell returning also, early doors and burnt out to contend with but a winger come goal scorer would be high on my list

Signed a new deal at Man City

Signed a new deal at Man City I wouldn’t be too surprised if that is a precursor to a loan move on the basis that the player knows his loan is to get experience rather than the first step out of the door permanently.

www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-city-news-delap-contract-21363280Delap could still play a role for the Blues this season, with no final decision made on his future as the transfer window approaches its final week. A host of Championship clubs have expressed interest in taking the striker on loan for the season and City are not averse to a deal being struck, but would also have no problem with keeping him - especially given they are light on strikers and the 18-year-old is now eligible for Champions League games.
