Wonder if the whole Mark Burton (from Manchester City) appointment, has helped grease the wheels on this potential loan?, makes a lot of sense
"Burton has been youth coach at Manchester City, overseeing the development of players like Jadon Sancho, Phil Foden and Tyrese Campbell."
As well as the obvious invaluable First Team / Match experience., Man City will know that at Stoke they have a dedicated coach specialising in development in their own mould/style.

Said on here the other week he wasn’t coming Stoke I want him to sign purely so that I can drag this and your other posts back up. Come on Liam, do the right thing. Believe

Anyone know who Liam supports? Is it us or maybe Derby? With his dad being a footballer and being in academy football for so long it wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t particularly support any specific club as such.

I doubt it will be his actual attitude towards the matter. More just a statement to stop the media continuously asking him. Why? Rory seems a laid back bloke who would have that sort of attitude in life to me. It's his son's career, he will almost certainly know he's destined for big things, why not just let him crack on? I think it's a great attitude to have and more parents need to be like that. I’m not saying he’s a Paul Ince kind of influence. But seeing as he’s his Dad, I’m sure he will offer his advice etc on what he thinks he should do, like most fathers would. How far he pushes that I don’t know. I can’t read too much into his comments because, as ever, they’re used to play down the matter and not get bombarded with questions every time.

If the reports are true, the Mark Burton link may well have greased the wheels, along with the incredible positivity of hyaduck. According to the link below, Burton actually attended the Stoke v Barnsley FA Cup 3-3 match in 1989. No doubt he was at the Oakwell replay where 7000 Stoke fans, including hyaduck, crammed into the away end 🙂 www.barnsleychronicle.com/article/7119/burton-still-ambitious-but-is-backing-new-boss-johnson-all-the-way(Different Mark Burton… but who cares 😉)

Delap and Campbell is a pretty exciting prospect leading the line. Didn't you say this wouldn't happen? Yes.

Let's hope it is Delap coming in.
Surely some striker is imminent as we've let Vokes go?

Who is Bryn Shurgold? Didn't Woody Allen play him in a film? No idea if he knows anything, but he's a Manc Stoke fan who always rings Praise and Grumble. He tweeted that he'd heard Delap was coming to Stoke a couple of months back. oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/post/7175486/thread

How long into his first game will some commentator mention if he has a long throw or not?
If he signs of course. Have many actually seen him? Have to admit not me.

I’m insanely excited about this - both for sentimental Rory reasons and the fact he’s such a promising talent.

And after all he's no need to interfere too much as he's already at one of the best and richest clubs in the world.
