Apparently there's been an announcement regarding the singing section tonight. As I'm not on social media would anyone be able to give me an update as to what the news is?

Just seen it on Twitter. I think the gist is -
Name change to Unita1863 and to be permanently located at top of Block 36 next to 37. Seat swap available at no extra charge if already in Boothen or South Stand; refund of difference if elsewhere. First come, first served.

Sounds great, I'd be tempted go up & join them had not got my seats with my 2x young'uns in the Family Stand..
The atmosphere they created for the final couple of games was an encouraging way of returning some kind of atmosphere back into the stadium. Hope it gets good backing & is a success..

Not sitting back and moaning about the atmosphere, they’ve gone out and done something about it.
Fair play to them.

I think once it gets properly going it will be fine. They’re still over marketing it which is understandable considering its just getting going.

Great idea, but I really dislike the name. I know it's lifted from the Stoke-on-Trent motto, but used alone it's just asking for United jokes.

A group of people wanting to make a positive change to the atmosphere is cringey? How do you explain that? At least they're trying something new to help.

Have they got a special area for Bayern yet,? Some kind of padded block where he's gagged and only released into the community with a helper

My only request for that area, as they do it everytime, is never ever, ever, ever clap to oh when the reds.
Stoke should never clap and speed up oh when the reds. Every other club that sings that song claps at the end. We don't

Good idea for those who want to do it but think they should have to dress up like church choir boys or the St Winifred's school choir on TOTP.

They're trying to make a positive impact. How is that cringey? The atmosphere has been terrible at home games for a while now. Part of that is due to the shit being served up, but that aside, the noise levels have dropped off in recent years regardless. I dont see how its cringey making an effort to do something about it. I find it cringey that a grown adult has the time to make hundreds of thousands of posts on a message board, consistently regurgitating the same old utter arse gravy. But that's none of my business.

The one from four or five years ago which was sung very low and very slow was unforgettable. It literally made the hairs stand on end. Maybe it was a one off, never to be repeated, but there's a good number of songs that would benefit from similar treatment. Most of our songs at the moment are sung at 100 miles an hour with accompanying clapping that drowns the song out anyway. It just sounds shit, which is probably why so few people join in nowadays.

Well said, it never ceases to amaze me how people will try promote a negative from a positive outcome. Some people need to get a grip and enjoy life a bit more.

Hopefully everything won’t be wearing black.

Hopefully everything won’t be wearing black. I don’t like the flags either. And to me it just isn’t very Stoke. The Bearpit thing was. That to me is what good Stoke support is. Good on ‘em and good luck to them but I would be taking the piss if it was another club.
