Is chell classed as an area of poverty? I once drove to chell to pickup a lass I'd met on a night out for a 'date'. I was only about 18 at the time and while I was used to some of the rougher areas of Stoke, Meir, Bentilee etc.... Chell felt really fucking rough. I don't know why. It was like the land that time forgot. Suffice to say, we didn't speak after the date. I now know all of Stoke generally speaking having simply been around the city, and Chell still feels like one of those totally backwards areas. Maybe I'm being harsh.

Is chell classed as an area of poverty? If my memory is correct as moved from Stoke decades ago so not entirely sure as towards the exact location but there’s Chell Heath, which borders Chell, Chell Heath is well not a nice place at all, or didn’t use to be. Recall a few odd nice streets that form Chell but in a nut shell it’s all Chell Heath I assume and primarily Local Government Housing.

Is chell classed as an area of poverty? Is it in Stoke-On-Trent then, yes. Stoke-on-Trent is characterised by high levels of deprivation and is currently ranked the 14th most deprived local authority (out of 326) in England. Nearly 133,000 people (over half the population) live in areas classified as being among the top 20% most deprived in England

I live in chell heath, previously Norton and before that Pooldam, milehouse and blurton all council it’s no worse than anywhere else in stoke and too be honest it’s usually just a couple of streets 🤷♂️ For the record I’ve just had a bid accepted on a house and will hopefully moving from this shithole but that’s another story

Of course it's worse than some parts of Stoke. Some parts of Stoke are actually nice? Meir Heath for example. Some parts of Trentham, Barlaston, many parts of Smallthorne etc. Chell on the other hand, from what I've experienced just seemed overwhelmingly grim.

Poor wording what I’m trying to say is the majority are nice it’s just a few ducks in a few streets which I have experienced all over stoke. Obviously the westlands or other richer areas are nicer but it doesn’t mean that the people who live their aren’t arseholes

That looks like the Dogcroft Estate, Chell Heath. Chell Heath is rough.
There are other parts of Chell- Great Chell, Little Chell and just Chell- that are nice. The area up from Pittshill roundabout, the Furlong and the football piches.

Here’s some trivia for you.
In Beirut, residents who happen upon a mess or an untidy room have been quoted as saying “Fuck me, it looks like Chell Heath in here”.
