Apparently there were two clubs out on that pitch tonight called CIty. Who knew? BM The commentator of the game did. He said as much.

Instead we have Man City, the team everybody loves, not sure why. they buy all the best players, they buy the best manager available and are beginning to ruin one of the most competitive leagues in the world because of it. A different team winning this league on a regular basis is what the league needs. It certainly doesn’t want to become La Liga 2 There's a flipside to that coin. It means other teams have to improve to compete with them. Liverpool certainly have and they still aren't going to win it. I don't know if they are loved but Man City are a remarkable team. Teams like Leicester too, who won the league with decent players, only to see the best of them move on to bigger clubs. I don’t see how you improve without a) having the finance behind you and b) being a club that players want to play for. It’s what La Liga has become, its predictable and boring. Having more clubs that can win the league is what’s made the premier league so good but I’m afraid that’s starting to change.

Good players have always moved on to bigger clubs though it's hardly a new thing. I agree having more clubs that can win the league has to be a good thing but remember this Man City thiong won't last forever. Guardiola probably has two more seasons at Man City then he'll be gone and who his successor is will be a huge decision.

What gets to me most, is that teams play Man City with 11 players behind the ball, they show them too much respect, Granted, they are a very good side but good sides grow with confidence on the ball, take that confidence away and you start to see a different team. This has been proven with Liverpool, teams don’t play them with 11 behind the ball, they give them a game and on many occasions they have been vulnerable, which allows for a much better game. Man city score, game over, Liverpool score, can they hold on.

Man city score, game over, Liverpool score, can they hold on. I think its easier said than done. Leicester had a good go, playing their usual system of pacy counter attacks. When they did manage to break, they were hacked down, which is Man City's tactical fouling strategy. So the teams hardly reach their box. Because they are so good with possession they know a team will only get to break 3 or 4 times a game so they can take those bookings (if they occur) on the chin. Leicester tonight simply run out of steam and when Man City upped their gears they were chasing shadows, and blowing out of their arses after a promising start. Man City have got just too many top class players who eventually break teams down.

It beats me Joe how anyone apart from the glory hunting wankers that follow Liverpool can possibly want them to win this. They are fucking insufferable as it is and no doubt there will be even more of the fickle parasites if they win the league. Liverpool and Man U are every clubs “local” rivals thanks to these gutless pricks. BM Instead we have Man City, the team everybody loves, not sure why. they buy all the best players, they buy the best manager available and are beginning to ruin one of the most competitive leagues in the world because of it. A different team winning this league on a regular basis is what the league needs. It certainly doesn’t want to become La Liga 2 I agree that another team winning it would be good for the Lwague ....but just as long as it's not Liverpool. Oh, and not Arsenal or Man U either

Apparently there were two clubs out on that pitch tonight called CIty. Who knew? BM I was introduced to someone a few weeks ago and eventually got around to asking his club to which the reply was "City". I said "Which one? Norwich, Coventry?"
I got a blank look as if he didn't appreciate the line

Ifs not going happen, but God it would be funny if they fuck it up at Brighton after all the high fiving out there. No it wouldnt. Not when you look at the alternative. In the whole time I’ve supported Stoke I’ve been surrounded by Plastic Liverpool fans gloating about a club they’ve never seen. It's this. Teenage years spent supporting the most fabulous Stoke side in the 70s capable of beating anyone down at the Vic and local lads were supporting Liverpool and in some cases going to Anfield because they were winning things. The very first plastics.
..... also the very first set of entitled fans.
