He's up there with Bera for unprofessionalism. Really? He's paid to play football and to do that he needs to keep himself in shape, given all that's available to him at the club, gym, trainers, coaches etc there's no excuse for him to be in the mess he is, he doesn't need to be the fittest bloke you've ever seen but at least be able to compete for the majority of a match would help. This isn't a dig at his ability but I have no doubt that if he was fitter he would have played a lot more and who knows we might have been in better shape on the pitch.

Thousands seem to disagree They need to stop being blinded by shots from the half way line.

There are plenty of players more deserving of a ‘good riddance’ than Charlie Adam. He’s done more good than bad for Stoke City. Yes there are, a list as long as your arm. This thread is about Fatboy Adam who for the past 2 seasons has done jack shit in a Stoke shirt and cost us points when he has managed to get his fat arse picked. He could have ran the Championship if he could have been arsed. rowett didn't give him a chance

Not a great couple of seasons but overall a top player for us. It’s a good luck from me. The good riddance applies to the likes of Imbula NDaiye Berahino Wimmer Jese Choupa Players who really have let the club down. 🎯👍👏

I gave Charlie a great big cheer. He’s never been a prime physical specimen, but he was out last season putting his bollocks on the line whilst certain reprobates were hiding and pretending to be injured. That’s besides the times in the prem when he’s pulled some mad shit out of the bag and absolutely bossed it.
Good luck in the future Charlie

Still has some credit left with me for the great goals he has scored. The time is probably right and I wish him all the best.

I’m not religious but jesus fucking christ. That kind of send off should be bestowed on the likes of Berahino, Imbula, Wimmer, Ndaiye, Afobe. Charlie has been a great servant to our club and, like many on here, wish him well for the future.

Odd sort of player. Can make a world class pass or shot and then commit a stupid foul. At time I've screamed venom at him and other times applauded his ability.
Always appeared to give 100% and I learned tolove him.
It is time for him to move on but I thank him for his efforts and wish him well.

Good luck Charlie.
The goal from the half way, the smasher from the edge of the box against Man U and the Sanchez head lock - some great memories.
An excellent footballer, who (in my opinion) gave a shit about the club and what happened to us - go an win the league with Rangers. (The Scottish league - not QPR)

Thanks Charlie - possibly the most under utilised player of the last 3/4 seasons. Never a centre-mid though, more of a playmaker, whether that be at 10 (in his first few seasons) or latterly in the deep role.

Can't look it up, what was Charlie, 4th top Prem scorer for us despite spending long periods on the bench and not being a forward ?
A different class of midfield player to anyone we will see for years and years.
Best to ignore Puglsley's cry for help.

Some Stoke fans deserve a life sentence of watching midfielders like Sam Clucas.

All the best Charlie.
If half those record signing tossers out on loan showed half as much passion as Charlie we'd be in a far better position than now.
Yes he had his limitations and disciplinary problems but id take that over the ndiayes and imbulas of the world.

With Charlie, you could expect the unexpected, whether that be good or bad!!! There never seemed to be a game that he would go unnoticed, in some way or other....and because of it, he was a likable character (a thought not shared by the opposition fans)!!!
I for one am glad he's played for our great club, he's one of the very few in this present team who I'm gonna be sad to see leave!!!
