'Stoke doesn't want Ndiaye to leave'? Thought we were (correctly) trying to offload him ASAP?

A question for the Technical Director here I think. Both players attached to this agent were rumoured to be heavy club signings weren't they?

I know the Turkish press isn't always reliable (to be very kind) but this agent seriously needs to fuck himself off a cliff.

'That's fine mr d'avila. Reimburse the club for the original outlays and they will be released from their contracts.
Sorry...what's a contract you ask?'

Bound to stay. He has a SWS player of the season title to defend. I think he thinks that's the proper, main Player of the season award - which, of course, it really is!

I like Etebo. Last seasons player of the season for me. Next season if he stays I think he’ll be even better. I think he’d work in a diamond too. On the left or right.

Make the lad captain, give him some leadership duties and he will flourish. Hoping hes a player who's loyalty is bigger than his ego

attitude-wise he's the polar opposite of Badou and Imbula
great kid and if he tidies up a few things he'll be a great player

attitude-wise he's the polar opposite of Badou and Imbula great kid and if he tidies up a few things he'll be a great player I still think Ndiaye is unfairly lumped in with Imbula re attitude. Ndiaye attitude was spot on in the Premier League. I was as disgusted as anyone by his non performance at Leeds - perhaps it would have been better if he had faked injury like Higginbotham and Arnoutivic did ? - However his public statements that he'd rather play in the Champions League than the Championship I don't see why he gets castigated for that? Imbula simply doesn't put in any effort at any club he's been at since Marseille (what a waste of talent). If Etebo is 9 out of 10 for attitude I'd mark Ndiaye at 6 with Imbula as 0.

I see what you’re saying, but Leeds was unforgivable. Butland/Allen/Pieters/Bruno etc didn’t want to be there, but they’re professionals who realise that they’re being paid a wage to do a job. He was taking the piss that day and I think his true colours were shown. I really don’t like barracking players, but I screamed myself hoarse at him at Leeds

Despite being constantly deployed in the deep-lying midfield role for the Super Eagles, Stoke City midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo says his best position is just behind the striker as a number 10.

He isn't really creative enough. Also, we've just signed Nick Powell presumably to play this specific role. And moving Etebo to 10 leaves another hole in midfield we'd need to replace. Not averse to experimenting with it in the cups, but generally speaking, no ta.

His defensive game came on massively last and made him so much better in the second half of the season.
I don't get why you'd waste that.
He's a good box to box player who can do a lot of things. He's not really a DM and he's not really an attacking midfielder.

He's the ideal player to slot into one of the midfield pair slots in the diamond. Has defensive capability, but good progression and attacking capabilities. I can't see him playing anywhere else but there in all honesty.

He's surely earmarked for either of the two 'flank' positions in the diamond?

Apart from the fact that he's not creative and can't really shoot, I'm in.
