Verlinden is the only one in the entire squad who can take a half decent corner. Clucas put in some good one in the last game. Too " loopy " generally. Been one of our better players today though ! |

Whatever fluency we had in our approach play in the first half had abandoned us for the most part this (the headwind playing a role in that?)
Regardless, our crossing remains atrocious; we’re really missing Edwards from that pov.

That wouldnt be unrealistic. But I could also see replacements for Ince, Bojan, Afobe and Etobo going.
When you watch the better teams attacking, Barca, Man City, Liverpool it’s clearly rehearsed patterns of play that work. They do it quickly and they know where everyone will be. I don’t see that in our play at all yet. Even under the purple patch with Hughes we didn’t attack with that level of precision and it was left to individual players

I'd swap Verlinden and Vokes for Afobe and Ince. I'd leave McClean as I think he has the measure of the lb
