Morning fellas of I could borrow a little of your experience. After a new hobby not going to invest loads only what I'm willing to lose but where do I start? Binance above looks very straight forward and easy to understand so the aim is obviously to buy low sell high sourcing market movements potentially before they happen etc Would love a little project on the side. Would appreciate any input for starting out please fellas. Thanks. Etoro is probably best for beginners mate. You can use a virtual account so try trading with Monopoly money first 👍

Bitcoin took a hit today, 7k dip.
Eth dipped about £200. ADA down a few pence, good for a cheap future potential coin maybe. Haven’t checked XRP price. Might throw some money at Ethereum now it’s dipped.

Massive volatility. It’s not a standard investment and will piss you off for most of the time you hold it. Everyone will tell you it’s a scam and going to zero, including so called main stream media. You need a plan and you need to stick to it. When it’s going up it’s too easy to believe it’s unstoppable. Exciting though, and will genuinely make you rich if you get it right. I think we’re close to the top on bitcoin for this cycle so maybe not a good time to invest. Who knows.

There is something of a cloud hanging over eToro. While I've not seem any reports which definitely conclude that they are scamming the punters, there's lots of claims that their system is too unreliable - punters unable to log in or the system crashing at critical times - which go back several years. My missus got caught out a few times when it was necessary to access the system quickly, or when all her positions got closed automatically just before a big gain, and ended up trading elsewhere. A common suggestion is that they should spend less money on advertising (how much does Alec Baldwin cost?) and merch, and should invest in more reliable infrastructure. Earlier this month, it seemed that none of the US users could log in! It now seems that you need to cough up USD1000 to start playing with real money now, rather than 50. Also: This doesn't seem too unfamiliar in our house.

It’s funny how these stories break then the price drops a bit. It’s almost as if they’re shorting the market so they can buy in cheaper 😂

It’s funny how these stories break then the price drops a bit. It’s almost as if they’re shorting the market so they can buy in cheaper 😂 This is funny... www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55817918Basically a bunch of short-sellers getting their arses handed to them by amateur investors who've essentially decided between them to highlight the artifice of short-selling, which is little more than a sham at the best of times. The current play on GameStop was over sold to the tune of 140% of its share stock apparently...questions over the legality of that in the first place! Of course, what will happen now is that the hedge funders engaged in this type of shorting will cry foul and take their ball away because they're not winning anymore, so that additional regulation is introduced to make it harder for amateur investors to exercise any kind of influence on the market. The creation of a closed shop basically. Capitalism at its finest - screw the little man down even more and ensure the bankers and traders can play their games to their hearts' content. And why not, what could possibly go wrong...

I think a lot of people could get burnt indirectly (eg my and my managed vanguard fund).

Not really up with all this trading bollocks but I see they've hit back now. Robinhood & some other apps have blocked trading on certain stock fucking over the little guy. Discord have shut down one of the channels for the little guy, wouldn't surprise me if Reddit isn't far behind. "It's only fine when we do it!"... Up next we'll nodoubt start to get hit-pieces from their buddies in the MSM telling us how it's all the fault of the 'far-right/Neo-Nazi's/Trump supporters' etc...

Either you have a free market or you don't! www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55837519Scandalous, if not remotely surprising, that moves have been taken to perpetuate the status quo. Can't have any bankers or hedge funders being beaten at their own game by ordinary people, can we!

Much more likely to be pieces about how "leftists are trying to destroy free market capitalism"! That way, there'll be more support for stopping the little guys from acting collectively in the future, and allowing all the casino bankers and hedge funders to play their games safe from having anyone take them on at their own game and beating them. Considering what happened before, making it easier for traders to play their games does not strike me as a good idea.

I've invested in Dogecoin Yep, that might sound stupid. But DOGE, even though it's a joke coin, has gone up with the gme business going on. A lot of people underestimate the power of memes, DOGE has always had it's supporters. It's never done anything like this though. Reddit is going for it again, so fuck it, I'm joining in. I'll have 1433 DOGE in my Binance after 8pm, cause I'm joining in on the co-ordinated 8pm GMT investment in DOGE. Let's get this fucker to the moon guys, this is most fun I've had investing in anything, cause it's so stupid

No, I'm just laughing at your conclusion that it was all planned as some kind of false flag by The Man as part of the great reset. I should've known you'd be along soon enough with reasons why it was all part of some planned operation. Par for the course, as per...

In sitting here with my one share in game stop, absolutely loving seeing big hedge funds having to bail each other out. I’m on eToro and to their shame they have done everything they can to prevent GameStop trades, unable to open a buy position for much of the week and now unable to close the position (the sell option is completely greyed out). Major changes will have to come in after this, to prevent this happening again. The rich really don’t want the peasants to get in on the act. On this one share alone I don’t care what happens to it I’m going to hold it to remind my older self that I was part of something.
