I’m not particularly a fan of Bojan, but I’ll be having a hearty portion of humble pie after my tea. He was excellent today. IMHO he actually made us be in top of Wednesday, where some of his passing out to Edwards in the 1st half was sublime. I guess it helps when he plays in his best position, which he did today, and he also put a tackle or two in too. Big fan of someone who can eat some humble pie. Too little of it goes on in todays world and the world would be a better place if more people were prepared to admit their mistakes. When a kid comes out of the Barcelona academy system with a better record than Mr Messi then there simply has to be a decent player in there. He's just needed the right manager to get it out of him. If NJ is getting a tune out of him it is yet more evidence that NJ is going to be a stoke hero in the coming seasons. Goaaarrrn Stoke.

For me - in the middle Decent though not outstanding contribution Tried hard Missed a great chance Also fluffed his lines in the box Some decent passes, some were simply wayward.

For me - in the middle Decent though not outstanding contribution Tried hard Missed a great chance Also fluffed his lines in the box Some decent passes, some were simply wayward. “Wayward passes” attempting to split a defence are still preferable to wayward 10 yard passes back to the full back like Ince and McClean are currently serving up. Lets give him a run of 5/6 games to get his sharpness back and then judge him, the signs were very positive today.....

Needs to be picked for our remaining games,to see if he should be here next season. Totally agree. That’s all he needs a run of games treated fairly then we will see if he is good enough or whether we should get rid.

If he’s dropped for Clucas we deserve everything we get. He was excellent today. Pass and move and a desire to drive forward. For me him, Allen and Etebo have good cases for MOTM. We should build the team around them. I think if Jones wants to play a diamond next week then Clucas will come back, with Ince and MacLean dropped. Not convinced he will go with the diamond just yet though. i don't want Clucas to mess up what we've got going on. Hasn't he got 1 more match to miss? For me, it has to be verlinden on the left, and BMI left back.

I would say it was outstanding, as were the performances of his midfield amigos Allen and Etobe. An awesome trio. I found it hard to choose between all of them and Edwards as M of M. His movement created the chance and it was only foiled by a top save. Some of the 'wayward' passes were when those around him didn't read and anticipate and weren't thinking as quickly as he did, which can be a problem when you have a player of his quality playing outside the top division.

Hes never actually done anything wrong, had a terrible injury etc
Every time i`ve seen him he offers so much more than others - he is quite clearly not 100% match sharp or fit as it showed in the last 15mins...
He has class, he has vision and attacking talent.
He must play now until the end of the season week in week out to see what he can produce when he gets that run in the team instead of the odd game here and there.

I’m not a fan. However he played well today. Medium, long term? I’d be ecstatic if he proved a point

Forward has decent game, does some good things Misses a very good chance Misplaces a couple of key passes Doesn't create or score... which is ultimately he is in the team to do.... So i've put him "in the middle"??? People so eager to either imbue every good pass of his as being a gift of spiritual signficance, or lambast him as a has-been every time he has a quiet 30 mins.... what's wrong with "in the middle?" to describe that sort of performance!???

And there in one post is evidence as to the fact Bojan is judged totally differently to any other player. We created more chances today than in the last six games put together and we were on the front foot throughout but because Bojan didn't score or create a goal he's being singled out. Never mind the fact that in the last 3 games that Bojan has been sat on the bench no other Stoke player has scored or created a goal is deemed irrelevant.

You talk about "the middle" but list almost exclusively negative things about his game. Can't fault someone if they interpret your message wrong as it has a very negative tone overall.

It was heartening to see Bojan play a full 90 minutes today. His performance today was great and it suited him with the high tempo play from the team, in particular Etebo and Allen bossing the midfield. Hope he gets a good run between now and the end of the season as I think he gives the team some good options.

His first full 90 minutes for us since August 2016..... Is that really true? He hasn't started and finished a game of football for nearly 3 years, in what should have been the prime of his career!

You’ve quite deliberately damned him with faint praise. He was better than decent, all our good play went through him, nobody created more chances than him and he was only denied by a good save.

Do you remember a match in which Bojan started when he wasn't the first man subbed off at around 60-70 minutes? I knew it was years but the pattern has been pretty visible for a while. I understood it at first because he was coming back from a career-threatening injury (he said as much himself when looking back that it maybe was too much game time way too soon) but it just continued and gradually he was forced away from the team completely.

Compare Bojan’s performance to theirs and you’ll see he has the bollocks to influence a game. Congratulations Bojan.

Bojan had a pretty good game today but should have absolutely buried the chance that Ince presented him with. In terms of our midfield performance, he was still behind a very good Joe Allen and an excellent Peter Etebo. Definitely his best game of the season but Etebo has to be the benchmark. Imagine if Boj had as much football in his legs as those 2 have had. Allen's been ever present and Etebo would have, except for his suspension and injury. Boj played only his second 90 minute game this season, and the previous one was six months ago. Now when they are on level terms, then you can make the comparison.

It's almost true. Rowett played him for 90 minutes as a defensive midfielder... Surprisingly he did well playing that far out of position. But he still got dropped for the next game.

Bojans hype is always going to be there. I thought he was excellent today but I think the fact that we were on top for the game helped his performance. I think that we will only see the best of him when the team is playing well around him and he has the players to work with. He is clearly a quality player but not one that can carry the whole team his best performances have been alongside shaq and arnie and when we have been on top. No offence pembo....but I can't help wondering why this post is just directed at Bojan??? Surely the same could be said for anyone in the side!!!

True talent will always prevail in the end. Ole Ole Ole Bojan, Bojan had an excellent game today .....he rarely wasted anything ...his passing was excellent he actually looks up to see who’s in space, not just hoofing the ball amywhere ...I think he’s quality.

I’ve not seen the game but it’s good to see more positives than negatives on this post. Long may it may continue.
He’s quality & always has been. He was part of our best period of football & I hope he can be part of a new era.
Ole, ole ole ole, Bojan!!!
