I'm saving my money and watching the 6 nations finale, come at me people. Have you got a note for Tony S from a responsible adult excusing you this week? Earache is a good un, nothing to see so can't be disproved. I'm seeing Tony at the fans forum, I'll actually be behind the scenes prepping him.

I'm saving my money and watching the 6 nations finale, come at me people. It will be hugely more exciting and entertaining than what will be on offer at the Bet 365. Saturday's game will be the first game I have missed (o.k as an exile it's stream) as I have decided to camp myself at Ri Ra Irish bar in downtown Atlanta. It's also St Paddy's weekend so it should be buzzing and I will be cheering for the irish against the taffs.

Only partly true. The crowd don't turn on them - but that's because half the people who go to international Rugby Union matches are corporate types who wouldn't know Owen Farrell from Pharrell Williams. However the press can be pretty brutal. They get an easy ride mate ,It’s because rugby doesn’t sell newspapers People becoming staunch rugby fans for 5 weeks and using it as a tool to batter football with pisses me off also The other 47 weeks they don’t know wasps from fucking bees And maybe they should get an easier ride when you consider that Maro Itoje (reputedly England's highest paid player)who puts it on the line week in week out for club and country gets paid approximately 25% of what Berahino gets paid for pissing it up the wall in the English football Championship (or 12.5% of what he supposedly got paid for pissing it up the wall in the Premier League). And I speak as 52 week a year rugby fan who WILL be at the BET 365 on Saturday (while trying to avoid the Rugby scores before watching on catch-up).

Were you on the muddy bank at Springfield Park though?! <tape extends> I put the grass on it. <Check mate> Check mate for that particular game perhaps, but surely this is one of those simultaneous exhibition matches? Where were any of you when some of us were hitching back from Spain in August 1977 to attend the first game in Div 2 at Mansfield away? <dispenses with tape measure and produces micrometer screw gauge>

I've only been out there once during the St Patricks Day celebrations when I was in New York, you couldn't find a local who didn't have Irish blood in them!

I’ve had this conversation with a few Derby fans today who were taking the piss out of our away following considering we have free travel🙄They reckon that gate was about right considering it holds 33,000 If it wasn't for the Rowett factor they would have bought a similar number earlier on in the season. I have this argument with a couple of Derby fans at work all the time, when you look at the home crowds they get their away followings have always been fairly average..... Absolutely. When gaging risk factors, in the 70's, of opposition followings. Derby were assessed, by me as a lower risk than Norwich!

Where were any of you when some of us were hitching back from Spain in August 1977 to attend the first game in Div 2 at Mansfield away? <dispenses with tape measure and produces micrometer screw gauge> According to Duncan Hamilton’s book on Clough , he saw the result of that Mansfield game and decided to bid for Peter Shilton on the basis he won’t fancy another 40+ of that . Peter Taylor goes on to say Shilton made the difference that won them the League , and on it champions of Europe . You hitchiked to watch history in the making 😉 its an excellent book too quite sad and moving in parts , John Motson describes it as the best football book he has ever read and I’d put it up there with Niall Quinn’s which is hysterical and Alan Brazil’s is a good read too .

Very interesting. I had forgotten Shilts was still with us, but of course he was - and of course he didn't stay long. The parallels with the current season are also interesting. Btw check this out: www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjEtYvUoYThAhWgUxUIHedUBfUQFjAAegQICRAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.stagsnet.net%2Fvintage%2Freports%2Fstoke77.htm&usg=AOvVaw0SdTHRZ6HsZm--n84mr4OaStoke fans - a disgrace to themselves, their club and their city.

Thanks brings back loads of memories , first game I ever saw of us not in the top flight . Mine too. The fact that my friend and I hitched back from Spain to get to the game was I suspect as much an indication of how much action we were seeing in Lloret de Mar (zero) as of our commitment to SCFC. This was centuries before the digital age of course and news of Elvis's death was passed to us by a driver who picked us up on the outskirts of Paris. As for the game itself, I am sure we thought it would be a stroll. It was most memorable (I am afraid) for the pitch invasions.

Blimey Elavis was alive a few days before we kicked off that day , I’m feeling very old .

I doubt anyone will care if you escape them
